Movie Magic Screenwriter with Chris Vogler’s book, “The Writer’s Journey”

I've had this program for years--I date back to its earlier incarnation, ScriptThing, which was recommended to me by Drama Books in New York as the best script writing software available. I use Movie Magic's playscript format so I can't speak to its screenplay format, though I've heard only good things. But I can tell you that the program is very easy to learn and facilitates your writing process brilliantly. Your fingers learn the commands and you speed your way around the page effortlessly--character name to dialogue to action to parenthetical. I had to tweak the saved playscript format to conform to industry expectations as I know them--action in italics, for example--but you can change the template in one easy step. One last thing, and this is not negligible: the technical support is outstanding. No long wait on hold and you get put through to a human being with a pulse and a personality who knows the product inside and out and will hang in there with you patiently till the problem is resolved. Great product. Not cheap, I know, but it'll become an indispensible part of your work life.

I see they're throwing in the Chris Vogler book, which is very smart and stimulating. Nice package. Go for it.
