Mr Forcade has put a lot of information into this book in a very nice format. However, I wanted to pass a tip along to those just looking for basic screw design information and they do not have a lot of money - go to Goodman Conveyor's, where Forcade works, web site and request their screw conveyor catalog. It is not as detailed as this book, but it does cover the basics. However if you can afford this book do buy it, as it has things you'll never know you need until after the fact.

This the complete book on Screw Conveyor. The design is so straight forward that helped me a lot to design it for my project. Thanks a lot to author for his detailed description.

This book did not fullfill all my expectations. The fact that the calculation methods for inclined conveyors are not shown do not give much worth to this book. Almost every information given in the book can be found for free in the net. I am dissapointed with this book.

Very helpful for engineers, craftsman, manufacturers and trainers.
Language and drawings are easy and clear to understand.
Units would be SI (metric system-international).
Cover would be harder.

this book offer a complete guide to design a screw conveyor, piece by piece, advanages and disadvantages of each one, also offer a complete explanation of how you have to calculate an screw conveyor normalized by CEMA and gives a data sheet for all parameters calculated.

it's like a smal handbook of screw conveyors that you have to have in the library of your work.

Probably one of the best book of its kind. This book really shine when I first read it, comprehensive and detailed explanation on types, design and applications of every single part in a screw conveyor. The book is written in sections, each concentrate on different parts of the conveyor and different types of the parts. Each design type of the parts is stated with its advantages, limitations and applications.

In the last few sections the book has mentioned about applications, materials characteristic, detailed drawings and tons of easy to understand tables for your everyday design reference.

I rarely bothered on writing review for books but I've made an exception for this one. Well done, Michael.

Now, only if they can publish some quality books on vibratory feeders as well... :) any recommendation, anyone?
