Made from strong heat treated, hardened steel. Comes in black version or silver colored versions. Silver colored versions are nickel plated, and are made from heat treated, hardened steel. Thus, the silver version is of the 4.5mm security bit is much stronger than the black version. The bit measures 5 cm (about 2 inches) in length. Bit will fit any standard 1/4" screwdriver handle. The 4.5mm security bit allows you to open Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, and Sega 32X games. The 4.5mm security bit allows you to open Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, Virtual Boy, Game Gear, TurboGrafx 16, and TurboDuo systems (video game consoles). Opening those games and systems will allow you a greater ability to clean and restore functionality. Well that sucked. Its so poorly manufactured that it didn't work.

I posted a picture of what the tip looks like. Because its really obvious. This is just zoom in to make it clear, but even a quick look at the bit and you can see it. Someone at the factory or the seller should check these for flaws. Because they are not hard to see.

Anyway I'm filing a complaint on Amazon and asking for my money back.

It is a bit cheap, like described by the other review. But as long as you keep this in mind and use the tool carefully, it will be ok. I used mine to open an N64 and it wore the teeth a bit, but it didnt ruin it. I dont expect to get too many more uses out of it before it's completely stripped out. But if you're planning on working on a few systems it's worth it.

It worked flawlesly on opening up my Game Cube. Had to use an adjustable bit screw driver to connect it to, but worked great. Exactly what I got it for.
