So worth the money.,

I was in a car accident and have trouble gripping, and also have pain and limited motion in my shoulders, so even using the wing-style cork screws were uncomfortable for me. I finally decided to splurge on an easy-to-use corkscrew. I'm so glad I bought this one.
You just place the corkscrew on the bottle, then turn the handle clockwise. It's big and rubber, and easy to turn & grip. The corkscrew goes down into the bottle, and actually lifts the cork out, as you continue to turn it clockwise. Then, to get the cork off of the corkscrew, you just turn the handle counter-clockwise. I'm so glad I splurged and quit struggling with cheap corkscrews. You do still need the use of both of your hands, one to squeeze the corkscrew against the bottle, and the other to turn the handle. But, it did not require much strength at all. It's also attractive, and comes in a sturdy plastic box, which is nice, as it won't get scratched up in my messy kitchen utensil drawer!

Screwpull, Screwpull, Screwpull - the only thing for corks!,

I have used most of their products over the years - from the original turn corkscrew to the really expensive lever models. This is a new twist (pardon the pun!) on the classic.
Somehow the pressure applied by this corkscrew will allow the most feeble cork to turn and lift. The design can not be improved too much - so simple. This is the corkscrew everyone should use.

Without a doubt, the best, easiest corkscrew you will EVER use!,
This review is from: Screwpull Trilogy Table Corkscrew (Kitchen)
Being a wine lover, I've used all kinds of corkscrews, from your basic twist model to the kind with the "wings" to the two-pronged kind. Finally, I received the Screwpull as a gift, and my search for the perfect corkscrew came to an end! As others have said, the Screwpull effortlessly lifts the cork up, so there's no actual "pulling" whatsoever--all you do is simiply turn the easy-to-use lever at the top of the device. In almost 10 years of usage, the Screwpull has never failed to easily and cleanly remove a cork; on the rare occasions when it had trouble removing the cork on the first try (probably because I started too close to the edge), simply starting over solved the problem. Spend a little more money to buy the Screwpull, and you'll never need to buy another corkscrew again; highly recommended!

I can't get over how cool this is to use. Not only is it functional and has given me no problems with any bottle of wine that I have opened but the technology is amazing. You simply turn it clockwise until the cork comes out but what is amazing is that if you keep turning it clockwise it unscrews the cork! I was doubtful when I bought this that it would meet my expectations but after two months of use it's exceeded them. Please pass me other bottle of wine to open.

I discovered this corkscrew while visiting my husband's family in Canada. It is so well designed, easy, and reliable - both for extracting the cork and removing it from the screw. I love it.

Went to France in April and that is were I first saw this type of cork screw. It is so easy too use it has just one moving part and that is the screw. Just keep screwing and the cork pulls right out. No arms too manipulate. Easy and it never fails.

I absolutely love this style of Screwpull corkscrew. I had the 'travel' version for years, but it finally broke a few weeks ago, so I ordered this model. I love the fact that you just keep twisting the top and the cork just comes right out. No awkward pulling or tugging at the cork to get it out of the bottle.
I highly recommend this corkscrew.

Easy, Peasy,

This corkscrew is the first one I have found that I can use without straining, pulling, or breaking the corkscrew. It works very easily, both removing the cork and getting the cork off the corkscrew. Considering you can pay $15 for a wing corkscrew that will break quickly, this is a bargain.

We have been opening a lot of wine bottles of late and when we visited some friends, the only corkscrew they could find was a cheap plastic one that came in a kit. It was in the same style of this Screwpull corkscrew, worked great, and we then decided to find the best version of this corkscrew. Oh, a red ball that pushes out the cork after opening; this will be great. After ordering it we discovered an old corkscrew in the back of the drawer that was this style, but of course no ball.
The corkscrew arrived, I read the instructions, and it does take out the cork, just like the other versions that are this same style. Now as far as pushing out the cork from the corkscrew, I don't see where the red ball does anything. I still have to hold the top of the corkscrew where the cork is to twist it back out. No different than the other brands. I might have to call Screwpull sometime because I must be missing something. I'm just glad I didn't pay for the ultimate metal one. |
