This machine was designed for use with oven bake clay. This machine is perfect for conditioning clay; mixing colors; creating uniform flat sheets of clay in nine different thicknesses (approximately from 0.33-millimeter to 4-millimeter). This package contains one machine; handle; C clamp to attach machine securely to your surface; comfort grip handle cover and instruction sheet. Imported.

There are 3 things that I found disappointing about this product.
1) The rollers have a very slight wobble which results in slight bumps about once every 3/4" in my sheets
2) Many of my designs call for 1/4" sheets, but the maximum thickness setting is about 1/8" Even if I wanted 1/8" strips, I would like to start out with 1/4", then roll down to 1/8". This might minimize the problem with the "roller bumps" but it is not possible with this machine.
3) The rollers are not polished enough, and leave small steaks in my sheets no matter how much I clean them.

I bought this clay roller from JoAnn's and have been pleased. Works great,and easy to use. I guess others brands haven't been reviewed well.Just wanted to share my success!

I'm in love with this roller. It works wonderfully with clay, is easy to change settings and secures to my desk. To clean it, I run a soapy paper towel or baby wipe through it in between colors which I believe is in the instructions. I'm a bit of a newbie at working with polymer clay, but I can't imagine wanting another roller and for the price and service from the seller, you can't beat it.

Yes, the handle comes off because it's detachable for storage!
