Product Description

Mold Maker is designed to create permanent, flexible push molds in a matter of minutes. Duplicate interesting shapes and textures like sea shells, figurines, and antique jewelry. Repair ornate items like picture frames or sculptures with molded replica pieces. Can can also be used to make molds of your favorite creations, buttons, coins, and more. It is soft enough to shape around even the most intricate details and, after baked, can be used with Plaster of Paris, wax, or polymer clay. After baking, an Elasticlay mold is permanent and flexible. Makes a great clay softener when mixed with stiff clays - just add small amounts until the desired consistency is reached. This package contains 8oz/226g. Clay conforms to ASTM D4236. Made in USA.

This really made my clay usable. It takes some doing to mix it in but once mixed in the clay is so much more malleable. I was using it make paw prints of my dog. They turned out great. Suggestion when mixing keep twisting the clay and the mold maker together and then roll out and twist again until thoroughly mixed.

I found this to be a Great , cheeper stepping stone into Mold making Just to see if i liked , and really wanted to spend the 22$ to get a more expencive , better reviwed sillicone 2 part mold , I had wanted the Silicone 2 part mold maker , but it was twice as expencive, and i was unsure if mold making was for me or not ( I have to mention i did not buy this via Amazon , but my local craft store with a 40% off coupon , they had the two part silicon mold wich is great for very detailed , and non Hard Items ie ,small ribbion roses ect , but even with my coupon it was quite pricey for something i was unsure I'd even use more then once , this was only about 6$ )... I found it very easy to use , just condition it like you would your normal polyclay , and roll into a little ball and then flatten it with a roller , and make sure you leave it as thick as your item you want to mold , and then get a pot of babypowder (with a screw on top is great cuz you can pop it in with all your other clay&tools and not have to have a HUGE bottle of babypowder) dip your item to be molded , ( I used , beads , brads , jewerly items , even some of my kids barbie accessories , as well as you can make your own item out of polyclay and then mold it and repet your creation , then just bake it in oven , the temp ect is on the inside of the box .. another great thing this has over the sillicone molds you can use this to soften clay , if your clay is to firm , or if you want to be able to have your child ( i have a 6yo that love polyclay) play with it , she struggles with with the reg version of it it's to stiff add a bit of this and you get softer , more managabal clay , also when it is baked it's flexabal , and you can add it to scrap clay to make molds or add it to your clay your making and get a verson of that flexabal clay they sell for kids !!! I'll keep trying to play around with it and if i find some more intresting uses and report back
