5.0 out of 5 stars with Gilad, an hour just flies by
I love this video and have been using it for awhile (I can even get my boyfriend to join me in the workout). Gilad is great-- he is down to earth and very motivating. Though some of the moves can get repetitious (especially all those lunges), he does a good job in alternating muscle groups (though I wish he didn't leave the shoulder exercises until the end). He...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Really Low Impact
Aerobics - 1 Star
The aerobics section I have to admit is not really a low impact workout. The rule of low impact is this: there should be one foot on the floor at all times and no jumping. Although you can do the tape low impact style, to do so you may find it very difficult to keep with the rhythm and pace, and the workout feels far less effective than the high...

He alternates between upper and lower body, following with a decent ab workout, and a brief, athletic-type stretch. One unusual thing about this workout is that you must balance yourself (without a chair) in a lot of the moves (thereby, using more muscles and developing better balance). He also likes to work calves which are often neglected in strength training tapes. This is a great tape for someone who likes simple, back-to basics workouts. Overall, I think this is a great tape for intermediate exercisers-- it made me want to get more Gilad tapes.

5.0 out of 5 stars gilad-sculpt & Tone workout, November 23, 1999
This review is from: Sculpt & Tone Workout [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Great Workout. I can see the results after three months. My weight didn't drastically go down but inches are gone from my legs and arms. I'm three sizes down. Great muscle workout. I recommend it. It is not hard that even a pregnant woman could safely do it. Actually, one of the woman on the video is 4 months pregnant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very effective and versatile, November 9, 1999

I use this video in combination with the other two videos in the Personal Trainer series. This is an excellent workout for a beginner and it's short, so you don't get discouraged. The aerobic moves are easy to learn. The stretch segment is also well done, although it some of the stretches should probably be held longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick, fun, great for beginners., December 31, 1998

I like to do this in combination with one of the Total Body Sculpting workouts (one of the tapes in this series). It's a fun dance-based routine that I look forward to doing. The stretch routine is good, too, but not quite as good as the one in her Stress Reduction workout.

This is the most fun a body can have while doing aerobics! I use this video every day and never get bored. I wish there were others like it.

I feel so great after this workout. It is a real challange but fun. I like the way he switches body parts. It keeps it interesting and it keeps me motivated. I know when I just think I can't go on he will switch to a different muscle group and I can continue. My kids have tried to do it with me but they haven't been able to keep up as yet. When the going gets rough I wish I could jump in the wonderful ocean behind Gilad. It is the best video of its kind that I have ever used. Thanks!

Aerobics - 1 Star
The aerobics section I have to admit is not really a low impact workout. The rule of low impact is this: there should be one foot on the floor at all times and no jumping. Although you can do the tape low impact style, to do so you may find it very difficult to keep with the rhythm and pace, and the workout feels far less effective than the high impact version that is demonstrated. The changes are quick but the movements are repetitive. The coordination seems more of a challenge than the workout itself. There is no Jane to guide you through, but more notably, the aerobics section seems to lack her unique moves and motivating style. If you are looking for a good low impact aerobic workout, I highly recommend Jane Fonda's Low Impact, or Low Impact and Stress Reduction, which are fun and easy to do but still challenging enough to give you a really good workout.
Stretch - 4 Stars
The stretch part is great and gives you a 20-minute soothing yet invigorating full body stretch. It leaves you wanting more!

5.0 out of 5 stars gilad the best yet, December 23, 1999

i started working with gilad when i first viewed him on cable televison. since working with gilad i have been very happy with my results which can be noticed within a 30 day straight workout of about 3 days per week. i started with the fat burning workout which only lasted about 3 months and managed to lose about 8lbs of fat. i then switched to the toning and abs workout which results came within a months time. i have yet to see anyone who can compare with the health and mind management that gilad can provide to my self worth. i would recomend these videos to anyone and hope to see these videos on the market for a very long time. thank you gilad!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for beginners and those who want a short workout!, February 6, 2004

I love this tape!It is the first tape I bought and out of the 30 I have the one I still do the most. Its short and very easy to learn.I lost 30lbs and 5 sizes working out with Jane. I like to use this tape to do after lifting weights or just do the stretch after doing the aerobics part. I recommend this tape for beginners or advanced.Just depends on what level you want to do.There is not any lunging, squats, jumping, or abs in this video. Just strictly moving your body to music and burning fat!

4.0 out of 5 stars Has been given a bad rap, January 15, 2003
By A Customer
I am a little confused by the other reviews of this video. If I was looking to try it for the first time-I would be scared to death by the aerobics section. I am not a dancer and don't consider myself to be the most coordinated, by I didn't find that these dance moves were complicated at all. I actually thought they took more time explaining them than needed. They do the moves slow first, while explaining them before they speed it up. I think it is an excellent video for some quick cardio work. The heart rate goes up and it doesn't take all day. Some of the moves are weird-looking but it is fun. This is an excellent addition to her personal trainer series. I love to do this with the others for a really great overall workout. The stretching doesn't seem as effective as it could be. But, overall, I think it is definitely worth the money and (short) amount of time put into it.
