5.0 out of 5 stars A fabulous resource, November 27, 2004
This review is from: Sculptors of the West Portals of Chartres Cathedral: Their Origins in Romanesque and Their Role in Chartrain Sculpture: Including the West Portals of Saint-Denis and Chartres, Harvard, 1952 (Paperback)
This volume, which actually contains two books, an earlier and a later work on related subjects, is invaluable to students of 12th century art, iconography, architecture, and costume. It's chock -full of excellent images of the Chartres works as well as related works.

The text is fantastic and really helps to give one insight into the creation of these amazing works of art.
