If there's one thing Aaron Deer knows how to do it's layer instruments. This album is full of timbres that sooth the soul. Fuzzy and swirly, strummy and curly, floaty and twirly. More than a collage of sounds, there is great movement, yes, but resolution in the end. Simultaneously a winter album and a water album, this one is for the tuned-in listener.
