5.0 out of 5 stars Works like a charm
Initially, I was very skeptical about Sea-Bands; it seemed a little too New Age, hocus-pocus for me. But given that over the counter anti-seasickness meds make me a zombie, it seemed worth a try.

3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't really work for morning sickness
I bought these hoping it would help with my morning sickness, it really didn't. I am hoping the next time I am on a cruise it will help with my slight sea sickness but we will see.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works like a charm, September 25, 2010
Initially, I was very skeptical about Sea-Bands; it seemed a little too New Age, hocus-pocus for me. But given that over the counter anti-seasickness meds make me a zombie, it seemed worth a try.

I was pleasantly surprised. They're a little uncomfortable at first, but I got used to them quickly. While using them, I experienced no seasickness until I got a little cocky and tried taking them off. Within minutes, I thought better of this and put them back on and the nausea cleared up.

The directions are clear, and the product is effective.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Cruising, April 29, 2010
By
Cris VM (Phoenix, AZ) - See all my reviews
So my husband and I were going on a cruise for the first time for our anniversary, and while we were really excited, my husband was a little nervous about getting motion sick. You have to understand my husband gets motion sick in a car, on a boat, on a treadmill, on a plane, on the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland! So I ordered these and they arrived the day before we headed out, he tested them out while I drove us from Phoenix, AZ to Long Beach, CA (he always gets car sick when I drive), but shockingly with the bands he was FINE!!! We are a bit skeptical and never believed in accupressure, but it worked!! On the ship, he only got queezy once in the casino in the front of the ship, and mind you, the room was filled with cigarette smoke, but once he left he was better. He has used dramamine in the past, but it makes you so tired its hardly worth it, and besides, once your already sick, Dramamine is useless. We were on a horse, on small boats, big 4x4 trucks, and he was perfectly content. They are pretty comfortable and look like sweat bands. The only thing is that they are not waterproof, so I would also try the Psi bands since they are waterproof (but not the most comfortable).

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, January 25, 2010

A neighbor lent me some of these for a cruise that I was on. Since I didn't need them on other cruises, I didn't think I would need them but brought them just in case. During the cruise, I found that I did need them and they worked immediately. As soon as I put them on, any queasiness went away. I recommend them for anyone going on a cruise even if you don't get seasick as a rule.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for anyone with morning sickness!, December 7, 2009
When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was sick ALL the time. I figured it couldn't hurt to give these a try and I'm glad I did. It didn't take away all the nausea but they did help ALOT!

4.0 out of 5 stars bouncy boat ride, May 12, 2007
By
Mary F (California) - See all my reviews
I used this product recently on a very bouncy hour long boat ride to one of the California Channel Islands. I sat on the upper level of the boat where the motion was more pronounced. By continually staring at the horizon behind the boat and firmly pressing the acupressure points on the bands - first on one wrist and then on the other - I just managed to not get queasy. Since I don't know how I would have reacted without the bands it is difficult to be exact with a rating, but I am prone to motion sickness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely helped me with morning sickness, December 30, 2010
With my first pregnancy, my "morning sickness" lasted all day and all night. The only time I didn't feel nauseated was somewhere around 3 a.m., and I spent every evening on the couch, completely miserable. This time, with a baby to take care of already, I didn't have that "luxury." I had to try something, so I got the Sea Bands. Other reviewers have said that they're too tight and hurt your wrists. Well, I'm a generously-sized girl, and they may have felt a little snug the first day, but I was ready to drive a spike into my head to distract me from the nausea, so a little lump of plastic in the wrist was nothing.

They don't take away all traces of nausea, but they definitely make it easier to function. You still have to take other precautions like not eating too much or too fast, avoiding greasy foods, etc. However, I love my bands and feel that I can actually be a functional human with them on. I only take them off to shower. And at this price, I think they're worth a shot for anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, April 17, 2011

This review is from: Sea-Band Adult Wristband, 1-Pair (Health and Beauty)
I was just in the worst of my nausea and didn't know what else to do. I was nauseated on and off the entire day. I ordered these sea bands and didn't expect to get them until later in the week. To my surprise, I checked the mailbox and they had arrived! They worked within 5 minutes. I used them all the time. Around weeks 9-10 they didn't seem to help as much anymore. I don't know if this is because the hormones were getting stronger, or because one of the band's beads was loosened (they both need to be properly positioned to work). Either way, for the cheap price, I would recommend them to anyone who is battling morning sickness or any other type of nausea.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never sea sick, October 21, 2010

Sea Bands are a miracle worker. I have never been able to take my wife on a cruise because of my motion sickness. Now with Sea Bands we went on our first ever cruise and I never even thought of being sick.

5.0 out of 5 stars work wonderfully, September 22, 2010

I love these bands. I had a previous set, lost one, and just wore one on my right wrist and it was sufficient until I got a really bumpy ride in a prop plane. Then I decided maybe I needed 2 after all. I put them on about 30 minutes before flight time. They work for other causes of nausea too.

These bands do not take away morning sickness completely but they help A LOT! I would definitely recommend these to anyone having trouble with pregnancy related nausea. I wish I would have discovered these with my first pregnancy.
