My husband and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon. About 1/2 an hour after the ship sailed, I became quite seasick. My husband went to the on-board store to get Dramamine or whatnot. They were all out. He brought back the only thing left: Sea Bands. I said "what is this ridiculous Voodoo, it'll never work, plus they don't even remotely match my outfit." We both laughed at them, but I was willing to try anything at that point, so on they went. About 20 minutes later, I was noticeably better, and about 40 minutes later, I was completely cured. I wore them for the remainder of the trip and told anyone who even remotely looked seasick to try them. The ship ran out of these, so occasionally I would let someone borrow them for a few hours or a 1/2 day....as long as I knew their room number and they promised NOT to steal these magical things from me!!! About six of us are going on yet another cruise this month, and we have ordered eight pairs of SeaBands- one for each of us, a spare, and one to give out to some poor soul who is green on the ship! They work, they are relatively cheap, and they have NO side effects. However, I doubt they'll match your wardrobe...but I doubt being green from seasickness will match your wardrobe either, so you can choose your fashion faux-pas! Me? I'd rather look strange with the wristbands and like a bright-eyed smartie as opposed to the best dressed green-faced, dull-eyed ill woman!!!!!

Initially, I was very skeptical about Sea-Bands; it seemed a little too New Age, hocus-pocus for me. But given that over the counter anti-seasickness meds make me a zombie, it seemed worth a try.

I was pleasantly surprised. They're a little uncomfortable at first, but I got used to them quickly. While using them, I experienced no seasickness until I got a little cocky and tried taking them off. Within minutes, I thought better of this and put them back on and the nausea cleared up.

The directions are clear, and the product is effective.

I'm wildly susceptible to motion sickness, and I purchased these mainly for everyday use while carpooling with others. It came to me recommended by a family member who used it successfully on a cruise.

Pros:
- It works! For the most part, upon putting them on, within 5-10 minutes I'll suddenly realize I haven't been nauseous in a while. It works gradually but very quickly. The various close friends and family who drive me around have also noted that I have less complaints both about being sick and about their driving. ;)
- It's preventative. You can't expect it to work miracles, but if I'm consistent about putting them on before getting in a car, I don't get any bouts of nausea.
- No side effects. Virtually none whatsoever.
- They're very discreet. They're tiny, hard to see when you wear them, and they come in a perfectly sized case that's smaller than a business card and less than an inch thick. They weigh next to nothing and can be carried in a pocket or purse.

Cons (nitpicking really, because they're fantastic):
- You can't wear them for too long. The elastic is very tight, even for someone with very small wrists, so they may become uncomfortable if worn for extended periods of time. From personal experience, I am able to keep it on for only about an hour at a time without a break. However, after maybe 15 minutes off, I am able to put them back on again and I have yet to get sick using this cycle.
- You can't expect them to work in severe situations. I am able to sit comfortable in a car wearing Seabands. I can't however read, play video games, or otherwise "push my luck." They seem to work better as prevention and not when you are already extremely nauseous.

My husband suffers from meniers desease. He use to have dizzy spells and get real sick when ever we had high humidity or snow coming. The bands keep him from ending up sick all the time.

I suffer from some pretty intense morning sickness. Only, it doesn't just occur in the morning-- it stays with me all day! Some days it is difficult for me to get out of bed even to do the necessary things like grocery shopping or taking out the trash. Sea Bands don't get rid of the nausea, but they make it so much more bearable. I was even able to make a trip to L.A. with my husband, taking the winding canyon roads no less!

When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was sick ALL the time. I figured it couldn't hurt to give these a try and I'm glad I did. It didn't take away all the nausea but they did help ALOT!

My company took about two hundred employees and guests on a cruise to Catalina Island. The sea was rough and most of us put on the Sea Bands. The few who didn't were soon turning very green. Some who did get sick were convinced to put the Sea Bands on and soon recovered. A small number of the women got sick even with the Sea Bands. We figured out that these women had very small wrists and the Sea Bands were not tight enough. We found that if they put one Sea Band on top of the other on just one wrist it cured the sea sickness. From the overwhelming success of Sea Bands with a large group of people, I think these can work for anyone as long as they are placed properly and are tight. They have no drugs, no side effects except a slight swelling in the hands. When I use them now, I just use one and switch from one wrist to the other when it starts to bother me. They look like sweat bands, so it's not the best look for formal occasions, but I've been able to enjoy my dinner when others were running for the exits due to sea sickness. I've had a motion sickness problem all my life, but now I can READ in the car, fly in small planes, and go out on the ocean with no fear of motion sickness. These things have changed my life for the better and I'm so thankfull! Sea Band AdultSeaband Wristband Adult SmallSea Band Child Wrist...Read more ›
