My husband and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon. About 1/2 an hour after the ship sailed, I became quite seasick. My husband went to the on-board store to get Dramamine or whatnot. They were all out. He brought back the only thing left: Sea Bands. I said "what is this ridiculous Voodoo, it'll never work, plus they don't even remotely match my outfit." We both laughed at them, but I was willing to try anything at that point, so on they went. About 20 minutes later, I was noticeably better, and about 40 minutes later, I was completely cured. I wore them for the remainder of the trip and told anyone who even remotely looked seasick to try them. The ship ran out of these, so occasionally I would let someone borrow them for a few hours or a 1/2 day....as long as I knew their room number and they promised NOT to steal these magical things from me!!! About six of us are going on yet another cruise this month, and we have ordered eight pairs of SeaBands- one for each of us, a spare, and one to give out to some poor soul who is green on the ship! They work, they are relatively cheap, and they have NO side effects. However, I doubt they'll match your wardrobe...but I doubt being green from seasickness will match your wardrobe either, so you can choose your fashion faux-pas! Me? I'd rather look strange with the wristbands and like a bright-eyed smartie as opposed to the best dressed green-faced, dull-eyed ill woman!!!!!

Initially, I was very skeptical about Sea-Bands; it seemed a little too New Age, hocus-pocus for me. But given that over the counter anti-seasickness meds make me a zombie, it seemed worth a try.

I was pleasantly surprised. They're a little uncomfortable at first, but I got used to them quickly. While using them, I experienced no seasickness until I got a little cocky and tried taking them off. Within minutes, I thought better of this and put them back on and the nausea cleared up.

The directions are clear, and the product is effective.

My husband suffers from meniers desease. He use to have dizzy spells and get real sick when ever we had high humidity or snow coming. The bands keep him from ending up sick all the time.

My mother is undergoing chemo for lymphoma and has been battling severe nausea which she expected. She is 81 and has not been able to keep anyhing down in days...not her pills or even her nausea medication. She is supposed to stay hydrated and take i. At least 2000 calories per day. I take care of her durin her down weeks. I was at my wits end and The nausea meds (Zofran) were causing immense constipation. Poor mom! Poor me.. Hen it came to me in a flash of light ....Sea Bands!!!! Two of my coworkers used them... One for extreme morning sickness(hyperemesis) and the other for severe motion sickness....both with positive results.

So I got a pair of Seabands to try hem. Didn tell mom what they were for. Just put them on and let her finish her nap. When mom woke up.... No nausea no vomiting and even the pills stayed down. Three days now and not anSHRED of nausea! She is eating and drinking and her strength and spirits are soaring.

I finally told Mom what the Sea Bands were for. She looked at me and said,"i'm never EVER taking them off!"

I did research later and found two scholarly articles published in two important nursing journals where breast cancer patients reported a much lower frequency of nausea with the Sea Bands than without. I know most docs poo poo alternative medicines byut please!!!! This simple cost-effective Method which has ZERO side effects compared to antinausea meds could make a HUGE difference to those on chemo who are afraid of or who are experiencing nausea!

Give them a try......if they worked for Mom they may work for YOU! Thanks for letting me post!

I'm wildly susceptible to motion sickness, and I purchased these mainly for everyday use while carpooling with others. It came to me recommended by a family member who used it successfully on a cruise.

Pros:
- It works! For the most part, upon putting them on, within 5-10 minutes I'll suddenly realize I haven't been nauseous in a while. It works gradually but very quickly. The various close friends and family who drive me around have also noted that I have less complaints both about being sick and about their driving. ;)
- It's preventative. You can't expect it to work miracles, but if I'm consistent about putting them on before getting in a car, I don't get any bouts of nausea.
- No side effects. Virtually none whatsoever.
- They're very discreet. They're tiny, hard to see when you wear them, and they come in a perfectly sized case that's smaller than a business card and less than an inch thick. They weigh next to nothing and can be carried in a pocket or purse.

Cons (nitpicking really, because they're fantastic):
- You can't wear them for too long. The elastic is very tight, even for someone with very small wrists, so they may become uncomfortable if worn for extended periods of time. From personal experience, I am able to keep it on for only about an hour at a time without a break. However, after maybe 15 minutes off, I am able to put them back on again and I have yet to get sick using this cycle.
- You can't expect them to work in severe situations. I am able to sit comfortable in a car wearing Seabands. I can't however read, play video games, or otherwise "push my luck." They seem to work better as prevention and not when you are already extremely nauseous. For mild nausea, putting Seabands on should have you feeling normal within minutes.
- They leave imprints on your skin. Now this is definitely me nitpicking, but for those of you who worry about reaching out to shake someone's hand with an imprinted "bracelet" on your wrist, take them off a bit earlier.

When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was sick ALL the time. I figured it couldn't hurt to give these a try and I'm glad I did. It didn't take away all the nausea but they did help ALOT!

I can tell you that these saved my career while pregnant. I was very ill with morning sickness until i tried these. They are slightly uncomfortable to wear sometimes, but that is a small price to pay in exchange for being able to work again. Granted, I still have to watch my diet to help keep nausea down, but without the bands I would be throwing up nonstop even with the bland diet. Use the bands for morning sickness in conjunction with eating smaller meals several times a day and trying to stick to a somewhat more bland diet than you normally would, at least until your first trimester is over.

I suffer from some pretty intense morning sickness. Only, it doesn't just occur in the morning-- it stays with me all day! Some days it is difficult for me to get out of bed even to do the necessary things like grocery shopping or taking out the trash. Sea Bands don't get rid of the nausea, but they make it so much more bearable. I was even able to make a trip to L.A. with my husband, taking the winding canyon roads no less!

I purchased this product for my children before a day of ocean fishing. I used Dramamine, they used Sea Band. After 20 minutes on the ocean, they turned green and started vomiting shortly thereafter. Our trip was ruined. Obviously, it's working for some people. Just be sure to test it first, OR ELSE!

I'm pregnant, and this morning sickness stinks! I was willing to try anything to help!! I read all over that sea bands could actually work, but I was pretty skeptical about it. The package insert states that it could take 3-5 minutes to kick in, but for me it was about a whole day. Now I won't take them off. I even sent my husband out to the local CVS to pick up a spare pair to wear in the shower. Crazy? Maybe. Puking less? Definitely.
