The pictures in this book are magnificent. The wide array of colors captures the eye. I never realized all of the wonderful creatures that live in the ocean and how magnificent they are. Along with the pictures there is a collection of brilliantly written stories about the authors experiences with the ocean. A must buy book!

Like Newbert's earlier and equally delightful, Within a Rainbowed Sea (The Earthsong Collection), this book dazzles the eyes and heart with large, close-up and beautifully produced images of the wonder that is our world's ocean. These are the most lovely underwater images I have ever seen, and they are accompanied by bits of Newbert's writing - equally from the heart - that, like photos of the soul, reflect and capture the spacious wonder of being alive.
