If you really want to solve your food-less food problem then I HIGHLY recommend starting with this book by the late, Great Dr. Maynard Murray who helped pioneer using trace elements on crops and trees. I managed to find a company that has very similar sea solids that Dr. Murray used in his experiments and purchased them this past summer. What a remarkable difference in the quality of my garden. Within 15 days, after applying the solids to the garden, all my plants improved dramatically in color, size, flavor( as compared to last year), and produced more too. The carrots had improved the most over last season. Not one plant was touched by the onslaught of Chinese Stink bugs this year!(I Do Not Use Pesticides) It just goes to show you that healthy plants aren't usually preyed upon by pests.
