I ordered this to "tone down" the sweetness of a black and gold antique mirror that I inherited. The rustic look of the metal goes well with the antique mirror. Together they make the bathroom look quite sophisticated. The metal is very substantial and the globes very nice. I initially tried to install this as a down light but the point on the top of the fixture did not look good turned down. I was surprised at the amount of light the lamp gives, even in the uplight position. Many light fixtures with any "heft" are scaled for Trophy Homes and do not complement the scale of a normal bathroom. This light is on the larger size but does not overshadow my bathroom.
