Sea & Sea Sucks,
This review is from: Sea & Sea DX-860G, Black Inner Camera, 6.2 Mega-pixel, Underwater Digital Camera Islander Kit with YS-27 External Strobe with Single Sea Arm (Electronics)
We purchased this model camera in Jan 2008 from a local dive shop. It preformed ok and was only used a few times a year and mostly for SCUBA diving. Last April it was used for land use and worked ok. It was put away until xmas of 2010 and when turned on it failed to open the lens.I called Sea &Sea in Long Beach, CA to see about repair and they said send it to them as directed by their web site. After they received the camera, I talked to them about warranty I told them the warranty had expired and just give me a estimate for repairs. The next thing I get in the mail is my camera back with a letter stating this camera is obsolete and no longer supported. They told me to buy a new model. This is great, as I have about another $1000.00 in strobes, lenses, and cases for it, which is absolutely useless. No thanks Sea & Sea. Joe |
