This review is from: The Sea Is at Our Gates : The History of the Canadian Navy (Paperback)
THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN ABOUT THE ROYAL CANADIAN NAVY. FROM INCEPTION TO DECEPTION. I SPENT TEN PROUD YEARS IN THIS UNIFORM SERVING IN THE HMCS IROQUOIS,HMCS QUEBEC AND HMCS BONAVENTURE. I WAS PART OF THE CONTINGENT THAT RESPONDED TO THE CUBAN CRISES IN 1962. THIS BOOK OUTLINES THE REAL CONTRIBUTION OF CANADA'S MILITARY IN THIS TIME OF THE MOST WELL PUBLISHED NUCLEAR STANDOFFS IN COLD WAR HISTORY. FAR BETTER THAN A BOOK BY RFK AND A HOLLYWOOD ABORTION WHICH LEFT OUT ANY MENTION OF CANADA. A MUST READ FOR ANY CANADIAN WAR BUFF.
