This review is from: The Sea Peoples: Warriors of the Ancient Mediterranean 1250-1150 B C (Ancient Peoples & Places) (Paperback)
If you are passionate about ancient history it isn't long before you encounter the Sea Peoples. They really got around at the end of the Bronze Age. Ms Sandars book is very helpful. There is still a lot that we do not know about why so much destruction occurred at this time and sadly, we might never know, although this book will bring the Sea Peoples "alive" for you. You will learn a lot about what was going on and where the Sea Peoples probably came from. Ms Sandars book was very necessary to my understanding of the end of the Bronze Age. I have found that no one book tells me all that I want to know. I have to read a lot of them to get to the understanding I am looking for. I'm very glad I put this book on the list.

This book will give you a scholarly and new idea of what that time was in the whole region. Not always easy to read, but worth it. |
