We have primarily used our stones to chill whiskey. It works wonderfully to chill the drink without watering it down and diluting the spirit's flavor. The stones fit nicely within a standard tumbler glass, and the tumblers that come with this set are a nice addition.

Its such a simple concept and a wonder that people didnt figure out sooner. Fine scotch or irish whisky is better chilled with these rocks that dont lose their temp quickly or water down the spirits. Neat. Literally.

First of all these are brilliant. Anytime I serve a guest a glass of scotch and pull these out of my freezer, my guests are impressed and jealous. To simplify,

Function: They work. They do exactly what they claim, they chill the temperature of your drink without diluting it.
Form: Aside from just looking cool in your drink, while in the included wood rack they do not look like random rocks a 4 year old would leave in the freezer.
Bonus: They come with two glasses.

After reading this you had better purchased these. I own 2 sets.

These definitely impart a chill, and my husband loves that we can just leave them in the freezer and have them ready to go. But, they're a little big for the Glencairn (sp) glasses I also bought him, and he'd ultimately love an even- cooler beverage. He seems to like them overall as opposed to ice since it doesn't water down his drinks, but would love a colder method as well. Very fun for novelty purposes, nontheless. Also, shipping was great and fast, product was just as described, and the glasses were a nice touch as well. I would buy these again, simply because the perfect solution doesn't seem to exist.

Very disappointed when I opened the stone set to find they looked nothing like the picture. Stones are very thick / tall and not very wide. This makes it very difficult to use more than one stone without filling the glass with whiskey.

Regardless of appearances I've used the stones multiple times and they do chill the spirits and are easy to clean and care for so far.

The Sea Stones on the Rocks, is a nice little set but I feel a revamp is in order. The stones are very cool looking and the wood tray that holds them is a nice touch. However, the stones are way to large for the provided tumblers and are still to big for my other tumblers that I had prior to this. I can safely fit 1 stone per tumbler, which defeats the purpose because I found you need at LEAST 2-3 stones to chill your favorite blend down anyway. When I put 2 stones in the glass I was afraid I'd chip my teeth because of the way the stones sit in the glass. I tried to stack them, sit them side by side, one flat, one on its side, but to no avail.

I'd be more than willing to give it another go if the stones were about 2/3 the size they are now, but I just don't see any practical use for these in my bar. I give them 3 out of 5 because the quality is fantastic and the included glassware was a bonus. However, it fails on its true use, chilling drinks.

My wife gave this to me as a gift and I love them. I've become a big fan of Bourbon and hate the idea of having my nicer Bourbons getting watered down with ice so this was a great solution. I just keep the tray sitting in the freezer door so the stones are always read for when I'd like to have a drink. The stones don't alter the taste of the beverage in anyway that I can notice. Cleanup is easy, I just rinse the stones off and let dry and then place them back in the freezer. The 2 glasses that came with the set of stones are quite nice as well and have a good weighted feel about them. My advice is to chill the glass in the freezer for awhile and then add a couple of the stones and pour in your preferred adult beverage and enjoy!

They do look nice and don't water down a drink. However, one stone won't cool down the liquor all that much and these stones are just big enough that two don't easily fit into the bottom of a glass. You'd be better served starting with chilled liquor and using the stones to maintain the chill. I do like the wooden tray that these particular stones come in, and getting two tumblers is a nice bonus.
