I bought the large version of this bag and I love it. It was everything as advertised. All the pockets are meshed. What this means is that, when you fully open the bag and hang it by its hook, water from wet items are allowed to drip through the compartments and down to the floor (which hopefully is your bathroom floor, else you'll have a mess). This suits me perfectly because water is not retained inside the bag, which was my experience in my previous non-meshed toiletry bag (which became stinky due to the stagnant water trapped within the compartments). When you zip the bag up, though, it retained all the moisture in. I don't know how waterproof it is, but I zipped it up with damp items inside and placed it inside a bag with dry clothes beside it. After about two hours, the clothes beside the toiletry bag remained dry (they would have been wet if moisture were able to leak out of the bag). It also came with a small detachable mirror; a surprise because there was no mention of such an accessory from the advertisements I've viewed prior to buying the product. My only concern now is whether the strap of the hook where it connects to the bag will last, since my toiletries are a bit heavy. Guess only time will tell. I would recommend this product to other people I know.

Addendum (Aug 1, 2014):
It has been 3 years since I bought this and the toiletry bag is still intact. I've lost the mirror and the tassles that are attached to the zipper. The zippers, however, still work and have not been "derailed" like some other cheaper products. The hook is still attached to the bag and have not been ripped out by the weight of the bag and its toiletries. I've changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars for outstanding durability. For those looking for a sturdy, sporty reliable toiletry bag, this is it. 3 years old and still going strong!!!

The main objective of this toiletry bag was obviously to be extremely lightweight and packable and that objective is fulfilled very well. The material used is extremely lightweight and flexible which makes it seem as though it will easily fall apart, but this is deceptive as the materials are also very strong. This would be ideal for backpackers and such where every ounce counts. If you use up all your toiletries during your trip or decide not to bring them back home with you, you can easily roll this bag up into a small ball and stick it in the tiny corner of your bag.

In my case weight was not the deciding factor for getting this bag, but rather the all mesh interior, which is surprisingly very hard to find in a hanging toiletry bag. Surprising because it allows drying and ventilation so much faster and better than bags that use other materials. I've had bags with plastic and other fabrics, but they always collect moisture and mildew or soap scum EXCEPT on the parts of them that have mesh so I really wanted a bag with all mesh pockets. Like the reviewer before me I would've prefered a stiffer fabric for the outside so that it keeps more of it's shape while hanging, but this bag is meant for backpackers and campers people who want a weightless flexible bag. I am not a backpacker and I don't mind if my toiletry bag weighs more than a feather or two so I'm not the main audience for this bag- but again it's the only amply sized one I could find with an all mesh interior so I got it. Just keep in mind that if weightlessness is not your main concern for a toiletry bag this might not be what you want. I would've given this bag 5 stars because it is deceptively strong and wellmade and manages to be exactly what it's supposed to be. But I give it only 4 because of the tiny plastic hook it comes with. It is too small to fit over any door knob or shower rod. I can barely fit two fingers into the hook. It can only hang on things like nails and wall hooks. I replaced this useless hook with a larger s-biner hook I picked up at the container store. Unfortunately this little plastic hook that comes on this bag is stronger than it looks too! I had to use plyers and almost hurt myself trying to break it off the bag so that I could replace it with a more useful one.

I'll add my two cents since I see some other reviewers are complaining about the bag quality.

In my opinion, the material is excellent. What you are buying is a durable, weightless, compactable toiletry bag--not a heavy duty, trendy, leather dopp. So yes, the bag frame is flexible and the fabric is lightweight (think parachute fabric). But as a result, you can pack the bag with however much or little you need to, and squeeze it into the space available in your backpack or suitcase.

Also, some other thoughts:
- The hook is great and allows you to keep it off the ground if you're in less than pristine places. It is a small hook though and wouldn't fit around a say, closet clothes hanger bar.
- Given how much the material packs down, I would get a L size since it won't take up any extra room in your suitcase.
- The mirror included is very cheap and I can't imagine anyone keeps it.

I've had mine for a dozen trips now and love it. Great bag for backpacking/international travel and also the gym.

I got this bag (the small version) to save weight and space in my backpack for short overnight trips. Combining this bag with the light and small items from minimus.com I managed to cut the size of my toiletry bag by more than half and it's probably 4x lighter. The construction quality seems to be very good and it's convenient to hang.

i bought this for use in afghanistan and have since used it all around the world. i have had it packed so full i thought id blow out a zipper. of course the zippers are fine and the bag is going strong. i like it so much i refuse to use my medicine cabinet. i just hang this up and work out of it! :) i also travel a lot sooo that might be part of it. i own quite a few sea to summit products! they might be pricey but they are definitely worth the money. buy it!!!

I gave this item 4 stars because I think it's overpriced. However, I wanted a SMALL toiletry bag for traveling, and surprisingly, small bags are hard to come by. This bag is smaller than it looks, but holds a decent amount.

I took this with me on a two week trip through the middle east, and it held up well. It fit approximately 5 travel size toiletry bottles (3 oz each) in the main compartment, and has a number of pockets for smaller items.

Overall, I'm very happy with it, but think a more appropriate price would be around $20.

This unit has plenty of carrying capacity and I never came close to filling it. It was used on a six-month bike/hike tour around Europe. My wife and I were staying in hostels and, in that environment, one needs a way to carry all the bath items, plus a change of clothes, to a remote bath area. Once there, to keep things dry, the user needs to be able to hang the bag. This bag has a hook that works well, most of the time. I carried a tiny bungee cord with me for those times that the hook was too small.

The only real complaint I have is the carrying strap and the hanging hook could be the same piece. It would eliminate having to close the hanging hook inside the zipper, eliminate some weight and end up carrying everything upright, instead of upside down (when closed of course.)

I bought the large bag in black before an long weekend excursion which involved both hotel stays and desert camping. It had more space than I needed, but the space was very well laid out and useful. zipppable mesh pouches accommodate toothbrush / razor and any medications. larger pocket works well for for bulky items. everything is exceptionally accessible when the bag is hanging (goes a long way to eliminating mess). the material is thin / lightweight, and not bulky, which is fantastic; it reminds me of materials used in backpacking gear, which tries to strike a balance between light weight, packabability, and durability. for example, I was able to stick the whole thing into a thin dry bag, and then into a relatively small cooler so that the desert didn't ruin medications / toiletries. I expect this bag to last a long time. regarding size, if you are minimal / carry on traveler, you may want the small size. if you want more room without too much additional bulk, the large seems great. I like the large so far, but may also get the small for more minimal trips. I have used more substantial cordura nylon bags and more minimalist mesh or ziplock bags in the past. This toiletry bag is a far better solution.

This turned out to be excellent for holding all my personal things on a 2,200 mile bicycle tour. I only recommend one easy modification. The plastic hook is too small to fit on some towel racks, or other points, so tie about a 5 inch diameter loop of 3mm accessory cord to the webbing that the hook is attached to. Then you can wrap this loop around larger objects and secure that with the plastic hook. The net pockets let things dry nicely. I kept my toothbrush and paste in the middle zipper pocket, my less used smaller items in the top pocket, and larger items such as deodorant, shampoo, soap, and so on in the bottom open pocket. This organized my things very well. I only had to grab this by its handle to remove it from my pannier and hang it up for use. Its big enough not to need to keep items in several places.

I've used this toiletry bag a lot. It's been through a deployment to Afghanistan, several camping trips and many vacations. It holds a lot and is very durable! The only thing that sucks is the mirror. It's quite terrible. Other than that, I would recommend this product to anyone who does a lot of traveling and needs a durable bag.
