  • Super compact and light: zips into a pouch that measures only 3? x 6? and weighs just 4.25 ounces
  • Gives about an 8 and a half minute shower with shower head fully open
  • Contoured shower head with graduated apertures for equal spray dispersion
  • Simple and easy-to-use twist mechanism for turning on/off and for flow adjustment
  • For multi-function, the Pocket Shower can also be used as a regular dry sack to transport clothes or sleeping bag

Product Description

The Pocket Shower is made of the same heat-resistant waterproof fabric and roll-top closure as Sea to Summit's standard Dry Sacks. Built into the base is a compact showerhead that operates with an easy-to-use on/off twist mechanism. The twist spout also serves to adjust the flow of water, delivering an efficient trickle to a free-flowing shower. Fill the 10 Liter (2.6 gallon) Pocket Shower, roll it to close at the top and hang it from two tough Delrin D rings with the 20 feet of lightweight cord provided. The black fabric soaks up sun during the day at basecamp for a warm shower or fill it at the end of the day for a cool rinse. For multi-function, the Pocket Shower can also be used as a regular dry sack to transport clothes or sleeping bag

1.0 out of 5 stars Drippy August 19, 2010
By Ron
Color Name:Black| Size Name:10 Liters|Amazon Verified Purchase
The packed size, the volume when full and the construction were why I bought this shower.
It is starting to be time to replace my "solo sun shower" that I've used since 1987.
The quality of materials is nice. The filling was easy.
BUT, the working end drips when closed, and merely dribbles when open.
I returned this product after filling just once.
I'm not usually very harsh on reviews but this product is to serve one purpose, and it fails.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great multi-use product March 22, 2012
I've used one of these for a couple of years and I'm very satisfied. It is tiny, light, and attaches easily to the outside of my pack for immediate access.

My main use is simply to haul a lot of water from a water source to the camp site for sharing among a group. However, I occasionally use it for showering as well. As a solar shower it is pretty useless. I've considered taking a thin, clear plastic bag (like a garment bag) to enhance the solar properties, but frankly I seldom encounter conditions where any solar shower would work anyway. (I'd need a sunny hang spot, somewhere I'll be all day or returning to in the afternoon, etc.) My solution on cooler days/evenings is simply to fill the bag halfway, then drain/boil about two liters of water and add it back in. This brings all the water to a comfortably tepid temperature without having to use a ton of fuel.

A fellow backpacker overtightened the nozzle on my bag and it started leaking slowly. I e-mailed Sea to Summit and they sent instructions on how to remove the nozzle and re-seat the O-ring. Worked like a champ! This made me feel a lot better about the product since I was concerned that the nozzle seemed like the weak point in the system. It's actually pretty sturdy.

Of course, what keeps water in can keep water out, so this can work well as a dry bag, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like any other Sea to Summit... it works. August 28, 2010
Color Name:Black|Size Name:10 Liters
I've got two of these and used them three times now and I've not had any issues with performance or with leaking. I suspect the other reviewer got a bad unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sea to Summit Pocket Shower
Received in excellent condition. Very small, making it easy to pack and carry. Bag can also be used for dirty clothes, etc. Capacity plenty for a shower, easy to use.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy to travel with - Slow to heat
The small size made this shower ideal for my trip to Africa. It worked well with the exception that the water heated up slower than other showers that were made of clear material.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unnecessary
Honestly, you are backpacking. The flow on this "shower" is terrible--you'd be better off just filling a water bottle/nalgene and dumping it over your head. Read more
