Not everyone has the same expectations for smoked fish. Some people prefer it smoked to a crisp; other people prefer smoked fish that is nearly raw. The folks at Seabear seem to have found a good, in between, place.

I've used this product several times and have always enjoyed it. The salmon is smokey and flavorful, flakey, firm, and tasty. The salmon ships in foils pouches, each containing a couple of ounces of salmon oil. You can pour it down the drain if you prefer a drier fish (but that's a lot of good omega-3 fatty acids to waste). Used in salmon pasta with a little olive oil, sundried tomatoes, and a little black pepper (let it sit over night in the fridge for the flavors to mix) it is a summer favorite. If you like your smoked salmon moderately moist, yet firm, Seabear is a good choice.

I've ordered this a few times for myself and as gifts, and it's always appreciated. Having lived in the Pacific Northwest for a few years, I get that "deja vu" feeling whenever I eat salmon smoked the way SeaBear does theirs. Very flavorful and a heavenly snack to accompany your favorite whiskey.

I've sent this assortment to my dad twice, and he absolutely loves it. Says it's the best smoked salmon he ever had. I highly recommend it.

I have this product delivered to my Dad every two months. He loves it! He has tried to find it or something similar on the open market in Los Angeles, and just unable to find the same prime quality. Once he mailed me the packaging. I thought he was sharing. NOT! He wanted me to see how nicely the product was packaged! I'm glad I finally found something that he really looks forward to receiving.

We have this delivered to us every other month. We love all three selections, but the Soho is our personal favorite. We highly recommend. A little pricey, but we cannot find smoked salmon locally.

Fresh, good color, wonderful taste. We've eaten the salmon several times this year, and love it!

For the price, I'm not sure I would buy this again. I had tried at my local grocers for $3.99 a piece of Echo Falls farm raised smoked salmon.
I let the package sit out to room temperature.
I enjoyed it so much. The oils from the fish had a beautiful orange/brown tint and really complimented the fish. Very little moisture but the fish was succulent, and tasty.

Then I did a search online about farm vs wild salmon, and found that the farmed salmon swim in their own waste, have very high levels of PCB's and are often sick and infested. So, so much for Echo Falls.

Went online to find reasonably priced smoked salmon w/out luck, but Amazon carried it and this one caught my attention because of the 3 options.
The pieces are square and med. sized. But there is too much water in the pouches making the skin turn semi-white. The salmon tastes exactly like, but w/less salt than, Chicken of the Sea pouched salmon at the local grocers. It also reminded me of canned tuna in appearance and flavor.

When I tried this, I wasn't impressed with the flavor. Again, way too much water, and the water skeets out when you tear the pouch.

Good thing it's not really salty, but my stomach did feel a tad uneasy after eating this.

The packaging is overdone. Too much cardboard to deal w/for 3 pieces of fish halves.

Great tasting salmon trio. The only reason why I gave it four-stars is because it was slightly salty for my taste. Would recommend it to anyone.

What else do I need to say - it was a gift for my father and both he and my mother loved it. I will be ordering it again in the future.

I admit the salmon is out of my price range, but now and then I treat myself. It is pure Alaska, keeps forever, and is so tender. I am a bagels and lox person, but there are many recipes included.
