Only tried in pool - not bad for price,

I purchased this camera for a scuba trip this winter. I've only tried it in a small pool. The flash washed out the pictures which I expected in a pool. The pictures were a bit grainy underwater as compared to above water. The above water shots were clear and good color.
Without the flash, in a pool, the camera was negative buoyancy (it sinks). The flash, and the flash + camera were positive buoyancy. I've read other reviews on the weak wrist strap. I haven't had a problem with it, but it sure does look insufficient. We'll see how it does in salt water in a couple of weeks.

Great for beginners,

I've used this camera on 2 dives now, and I must say it does a good job even in not-so-clear water. The strobe was able to push through the backscatter and the camera did a great job of automatically color-correcting the images. My only complaint is the carry strap, because it is very thin, and looks like it could break easily.
