It's lasted for quite a while.

This is a long anchor line (50 feet) which is a good thing, because it is better to have too much anchor line than to have too little.
James Fish
This rope is 10x easier to untangle and the clip is nice to have on there.

Subject to revision later but this seems to be a good anchor line for light duty use. I will be using it with a medium size river mushroom anchor and wanted 100' of line that would be compact for storing on a small 11' inflatable boat.

The unknown is whether the spring for the clip will hold up with use in salt water. Usually they do not and then the clip needs to be replaced. When it does fail I will mount a thimble insert in its place and use a zinc plated shackle. I did not go this route at this time as the shackle pin should be secured with a wire and I did not want to take a chance of the wire snagging on the inflatable and puncturing it. The snap will open far enough to clip on most anchors directly.

This is thin line so I would recommend it for anchors weighing 8 lbs. or less, which still leaves many options in mushroom and grapnel type anchors which would be a good match for this anchor line.

A word of caution regarding poly lines is that they float and do not absorb water which is why they are preferred for water skiing but this also makes it easier to get the line wrapped around the prop of a motor. More care is needed to avoid excess line in the water and to be sure that it is clear of the prop before starting the motor.

I bought this rope as a replacement anchor line for my 16" Bayliner as it was cheap & long, and we only had about a 25' anchor line at the time. When it arrived it was neatly packaged & woven (secured by zip ties), however once the zip ties were removed & we tried to straighten the line we found the problem that would be forth coming. The line was very kinked & is constructed of a cheap plastic-feeling rope. Upon using the rope several times (literally only 2-3 times) the strands that were braided together started to unravel. We didn't buy this rope until late in the boating season, so as of right now it hasn't broken, but I don't forsee it lasting the entire next boating season. The one nice thing about this rope was that it had the quick attach clip/hook, which simplifies the attachment of the anchor and/or connecting it to your boat. All-in-all, if I had knew the quality of this rope I wouldn't have wasted my money. Definitley worth shelling out some extra cash to avoid losing your anchor to a faulty line!

It really isn't the rope's fault but it is difficult to pull up an anchor with this thin line. If you have a 10 lb anchor, I would go with a thicker line.

Product received as advertised...as a hollow braid 3/8 anchor line. however, I would not trust an anchor with a rope that had a working weight limit of 150lbs, max over 1000lb (thats what the package says) This means not to put over 150lbs load on it regularly/continously. It would likely hold up for a while but dont recommend for anchors your not prepared to lose. Still gave 3 stars because it delivered what it advertised, an inexpensive rope.

I used the snap hook to connect to the anchor and tie the remaining cord to the cleat when anchored. Works great!

I use this on a small Johnboat I use in slow moving rivers and around the lake edge. I purchased two 50 foot lengths. I use one for a small 10 pound anchor and the other for fasting to trees and snags of the river and lake bank. The rope is great and the clip is super easy to attach to the anchor.

I will tell you that due to the thickness of the rope...or in this case the lack of thickness, that I would not want to haul up any more than the 10 pound anchor I use. This is extremely hard on the hands. This is not the fault of the rope though because you know what you are getting. I went with a smaller diameter simply because it packs tighter and smaller...hey, my JB is not all that large and I haul enough junk in it already.

I am quite satisfied with this and I avoid the and pain simply by taking my friend with me all of the time and letting her due the hauling...hey, it works for me.
