Product Description

Amazon.com

Inspired by the design of jet engines, the Seabreeze Turbo-Aire helps cool rooms, improve ventilation, and send stale air packing. The very powerful unit features an aerodynamic design with a curved air inlet--this helps draw in the maximum amount of air with the least obstruction and noise. The fan has three speeds, of which the lowest two are quite quiet for their power. Anyone hot enough to need the third setting probably won’t mind its smooth but firmly audible whirring. Stably secured to a tubular steel base, the fan can be set on a tabletop, placed on the floor, or mounted to the wall (bracket sold separately). The head’s 90-degree rotation lets you direct the breeze where you want it, and a tightening dial secures the fan in its chosen position. Equipped with a built-in carrying handle, the fan’s durable plastic housing measures 15-1/2 inches in diameter; its projected column of air is 12 inches across. --Emily Bedard

Product Description

Aerodynamic "Turbo-aire" ™delivers over 11,000 CFM of refreshing air which can be felt up to 20 feet away. "Turbo-aire" consumes less electricity than a 100 watt light bulb, yet is whisper quiet on all three speeds. 300% more energy efficient than comparable fans. Can be readily wall mounted or used in the vertical tilt (hassock) position for maximum room comfort.

It is very well made, and looked extremely cool.

Would never recommend: With in a few months the knob broke then after only a year, the fan stopped working.

As quiet as any fan I've owned, it moves air very efficiently.

This is an exact duplicate of the fans I bought from Toastmaster years ago called "Aero Stream". They were so good I bought four. I still have three. They are quiet, move more air, and consume less energy than any I have ever had. Like Vornado fans, (my other favorite), the airstream is compacted and travels a great distance without spreading out. In Florida fans get a lot of use and these have had plenty.

I own both a Vornado and this Seabreeze. The Seabreeze appears to move more air and have lower noise. Neither unit is truly "Whisper Quiet", but the Seabreeze appears to do a better job.

This little fan really blows! :) A unique design focuses the air column without letting it spread out too much, so what you get is a very windy "tube" of air, enough to make your ears roar from more than 10 ft away. I bought this fan for a very specific purpose, photography, and it packs plenty of punch to get a models hair moving without needing to be right up on the subject. I usually put it on the floor about 8 feet away or so and it does the trick just fine, on the medium setting. From 20 ft, I had the vertical blinds fluttering wildly about. It is also very quiet and and energy efficient, so thats a nice plus. I highly recommend this fan if you need to move a lot of air and don't want to pay over $1000.00 for a wind machine, or just want to cool yourself on a hot day and don't need anything oscillating. I am totally happy with it.

This fan advertises 11,000 CFM.

I work in a fluids lab, and did a quick back-of the envelope calculation and found at best about 2500 CFM (Measured a max of 7.5 m/s over the 1.5' diameter of the fan). Not bad, but you can find better deals out there on fans at this level. I just hate false advertising

After reading countless of reviews on this and other fans, I decided to purchase this one.
PROS: This is a nice fan. I dont have the means to measure the velocity, but it does put out the air flow. It's fairly quiet, but not whisper quiet. At least at night time, I have the fan on Low or Medium and I can sleep. There are no "ear catching" obnoxious noises, hums or vibrations like some fans have. It is light weight and easy to carry from room to room. Should you choose the option to wall mount the fan, the supplier even included the bracket to mount on the wall. The fan blades are set deep within the housing to prevent any mishaps with fingers.
CONS: The fan came with a very short 2-prong cord. This limits the placement of the fan. The fan is all plastic (altho, it does make it lightweight to carry around. I have a Patton hi-velocity fan that is all metal construction and does as good of a job as this one, for about $25+ less. And the noise level is comparable.

With all that, I have decided to keep this fan because I don't want to pay the extra shipping to return it. It will work nicely.

When our first Seabreeze died after twenty-five years, we could not find another, and then thought, "Perhaps on-line?" Sure enough, there it was, slightly different syling, but the same product. We ordered one, and then--as soon as it arrived--a second. It out-blows Vornado and every other brand that we have used. It is the best fan that we have used. Full stop.

With three speeds, an extremely quiet motor and fan (thanks to five thick blades), and an infinitely adjustable angle, easily portable (lightweight, convenient built-in handle), and extremely stable (thanks to its triangular base), this is simply ... the best. It sits on the floor or a windowsill (one more or less lives in our bedroom window), and soothes our sleep with whispered white noise (much too harsh a word) and cool zephyrs. And--as our first demonstrates--it is extremely well made. We (our entire family, including the dog) recommend it most highly.

Does a great job moving the air. Very quiet. Never needs oiling. Comes with a 2 year warranty plus a trade-in offer.
