Product Description

Flourish™ is a comprehensive plant supplement for the natural freshwater aquarium. It contains a rich assortment of important micro elements, trace elements and other nutrients. These include calcium, magnesium, iron and other important elements that have been shown to be beneficial to aquatic plants. View a chart of Flourish™ constituents and signs of their deficiency. For macro element (NPK) fertilization, use Flourish Nitrogen™, Flourish Phosphorus™ or Flourish Potassium™ as needed. Unlike competing products, Flourish™ is designed to be used in conjunction with other macro and micro-nutrient supplements. Other manufacturers try to include ALL necessary nutrients, leading to overdoses of micro-nutrients in an attempt to raise macro-nutrient levels.

Flourish is an excellent micro nutrient fertilizer for the freshwater planted aquarium.

I guess if you had something like eco-complete, this might be good for that as well.

This is an awsome product when it comes to plant nutrients but be carefull.. The bottle says to treat 1-2 times a week.. I had a planted tank with about 5 medium sized plants and it was going good for months but the plants were starting to change colors and wilt. So i picked up some seachem, and the plants popped right back to life. Then about 2 weeks into treatment my tanks bloomed with algae and black beard algae which there is no way to get rid of. I know this product did not cause the black beard algae but by treating twice a week there was so much extra nutrients that the algae took off and out of control.. SO be warned, use this product as needed not as suggested on the bottle.. it wont take much to over do it..

Flourish is an excellent micro nutrient fertilizer for the freshwater planted aquarium. You can really see an improvement in your plants if you use the appropriate fertilizers for your tank. Keep in mind this is just "Flourish" which is a nutrient supplement, not "Flourish Excel" which is the CO2 supplement. Both products are wonderful additions for a tank.

This stuff is great. When you add this to a CO2 system and very good lighting, your plants will explode (in a good way, heheh). Just one bit of advice - go easy on this stuff unless your plants are begging for it. If you don't, you'll get a massive algae bloom that can damage your plants.

Plants grow faaaast using this stuff. I have a black thumb & this product helps me to NOT kill my plants. It seems very safe to use with apple snails. I was skeptical when I saw the tiny, tiny bit of copper listed on the label. All snails are healthy and thriving.

I can't say anything more than, this stuff works great with the excel, iron, potassium, and other Seachem products. My plants are greener and thriving. The floating plants have really taken off and over taken the top to the point where I'm throwing away perfectly good plants. The roots look long and strong for the floaters. The planted media look great and are also multiplying. Before the purchase of this product, the plants didn't get that extra bit elements this product introduces into the water stimulating growth.

Since adding this product to my heavily planted aquarium I have noticed improved growth and vigor of the various items within that environment. These results speak for themselves as all of my plants, since placed in the aquarium in January have double in size by March the time of this review.

If you have rhizomes on your rock or drift wood or floating plants, this stuff is great. Rooted plants are probably better fed with root tabs. They eat in the soil. I just don't see how this stuff effectively gets down past the gravel cap of a dirted tank. I guess if you had something like eco-complete, this might be good for that as well. The anubias nana on my driftwood and the frogbit in my tank both LOVE this stuff.

If you aren't into high tech plantings with dosed CO2 and estimative index, this is a simple to use fertilizer especially for water column intake plants like ferns and floaters. I keep it in a refrigerator and it doesn't appear to go "bad" before it gets used.
