Product Description
Stability® will rapidly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, thereby preventing the #1 cause of fish death: "new tank syndrome". Stability® is formulated specifically for the aquarium and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Unlike competing products, the bacteria employed by Stability® are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Stability® is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use. Stability® is the culmination of nearly a decade of research and development and represents the current state of the art in natural biological management.

Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 gallons*) on the first day with a new aquarium. Then use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 gallons*) daily for 7 days. Fish and other aquatic species may be introduced at any time as long as dosage is maintained for 7 days. For optimum biofilter performance use 1 capful for each 40 L (10 gallons*) once a month or with each water change and whenever introducing new fish or whenever medicating an aquarium.

I started a new 36 gallon freshwater tank and used SeaChem Stability to kick-start it. Added a few fish immediately (4 danios, 4 cherry barbs) and things went perfectly. Water is balanced, clear, and clean- my fish are thriving. Definitely helps reduce tank shock. You still need a dechlorinator and the best filter you can afford; I use a Rena Filstar XP2 and am very happy. Avoid overfeeding and use a good quality food (NOT TopFin!!!).

A must-have for tank setup and water changes. I've been using stability for years, and it's one of the best "good" bacteria products out there. Highly recommended! Just be sure to read directions, have a healthy tank to start with and be educated as to how nitrates, nitrites and ammonia levels work in a tank cycle. With good information and a great product like this, you can't go wrong. I also recommend Seachem's Neutral Regulator and a spit of Stress Coat for every water change.

It Really Does Work The Way It Says!,

I set up a 20 gal 'long' tank with plants and used Seachem Stability as directed. Added some guppies the 2nd day and continued with the seven day stability. My fist fish and those added within a week have all survived. My test showed no water problems and I now have about 8 fish total. I use an air stone and power filter. My tank started clear and remains that way today. As for those that say if you stop using stability everything will fall apart are incorrect. I only add more at water changes and filter cleanings. To me it is a very good product and I am well pleased with it.
