The most effective water conditioner,
This review is from: Seachem Prime 500ml (Misc.)
I usually don't write reviews, but I did want to take the time to recommend this product. I have been keeping fancy goldfishes for over ten years now and finding the right tap water conditioner had always been a headache for me. I have tried most of the popular products on the market and they have always given me either mixed results or no results at all. Too often, I've had the fish die on me after a water change. However, when someone recommended the Prime water conditioner to me during a visit to the pet store, my problem was solved. I have used this product for a few years now and never since had any more fish die after a water change. I sincerely believe this is the most effective all-in-one solution on the market and for regular fish keeping, this is the only water conditioner one really needs.

Great Money Saver,

In my opinion, SeaChem's Prime is the best water conditioner on the market. I've tried a few of them and Prime does the best job. It removes chlorine/chloramine and other toxic metals from water instantly. Plus, as little as literally ONE drop treats a gallon of water. I have a total of 115 gallons of water in my 3 tanks. I perform 50% weekly water changes in all of the 3 tanks. To give you an idea of how economical Prime is, I've had a 250 mL bottle of it for more than a year. Only a few dollars' worth will treat hundreds of gallons of water. And as I've mentioned above, I perform 50% weekly water changes for my 115 gallons of water. Now, that's what I call a really great product. Highly recommend it to any serious fish keepers :o)

Best conditioner around,
This review is from: Seachem Prime 500ml (Misc.)
I bought this water conditioner at a chain pet store. It is so effective at removing chloramines, chlorine, and ammonia that you barely need to use any at all. Just follow the directions and the bottle will last you forever if you have a modest sized tank.

terrible smell,
This review is from: Seachem Prime 500ml (Misc.)
It does a decent job, I don't see how it's any different from the other tap conditioner but the smell is horrible, it's not smelling it every water change.Best I can describe the smell is that it smells like potent sewer smell.

Prime is handsdown, the BEST water conditioner available. I have tried other products in the past, but have had the best results with Prime. The best part is that it is so potent, you need much less than you would with other brands, making one bottle last up to 5 times as some of the others.
Just don't get too strong of a whiff, it is some pretty stinky stuff...

The best chemical water conditioner,

I have several fresh water tropical fish tanks that I have had for 10 years. I've tried other water conditioners but this one is the best on the market. It does an excellent job keeping the nitrite levels down. I prefer to do water changes to keep my tanks clean, but if my schedule forces me to put this task off for a week or two, I'll add some Prime to the water. I also use Prime when I prepare water for cleaning (adjust pH, remove chlorine with Prime, etc). I know this does a good job because I find the chlorine salts that precipitates from the water. I buy a large bottle and it lasts about a year for my four fish tanks. I keep it in the refrigerator after opening. Prime is very economical and is an excellent product.

Prime works well. I use it during water changes. Just a few drops and you are off to the races. My tanks are cycled so I don't need to use it as a means to detoxify "bads" in the water...I use it as a declorinator and it has worked all the time. Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrite 0 ppm Nitrate 20 ppm

This is by far the best aquarium water conditioner. It can be used for both fresh and salt water aquariums. I have a 30 gallon aquarium and I have been using the same bottle for almost 2 years now, and this is with me performing 25% weekly water changes.-100% Safe -Fresh & Salt Water Use -Most concentrated formula available -Cheap -No extra additives etc This is the gold standard when it comes to water conditioners.

Prime is the best water conditioner I have ever used. I use it in my own ten gallon tank, and just cleaned a friend's tank that hadn't been cleaned in over four months. Water was disgusting, big brown splotches on the tank sides, etc. I did an 80% water change, used the emergency dosage of Prime (full cap), and the water was crystal--and I mean swarovski crystal--clear in four hours. It keeps my tank pristine, and you don't need much for regular water changes. It is an excellent value for the price, there is NO growth or funk on any of my plants, fish, or ornaments, and I just love it. You should too.

I have had tanks for years .Did as I was taught setting up a new tank with cycling with zebra danios or a goldfish for a few weeks but after cycling & wanting fish that wouldn't be compatable was stuck with the cycled fish so had a 5 gal set up for them. Then I found out about seachem prime and read the reviews which was an answer to my prayers.Got it and couldn't believe it.This is the best love it. I now have my guppy 29 gal tank and my 20 gal with endlers all doing great using the prime.I still check everything as for ammonia, etc all at O.No loses. No more starter fish as I call them just prime its the best
