The Seafood Lover's Bible takes the guesswork out of buying and cooking seafood. For anyone who's every had a doubt about whether one species could be substituted for another, or just what to do with a new fish -- this cookbook is the answer. The Bible deserves a spot on the shelf in every American kitchen. It answers questions a seafood lover, or a would-be seafood lover didn't even know to ask. It tells the neophyte seafood cook how to spot quality in the fish store and how to maintain it at home. The recipes are easy to read, easy to follow and delicious. The author clearly knows his subject and loves food!

Book is very informative with lots of interesting information for the consumer regarding seafood as well as wonderful recipes. Didn't know seafood could be so fascinating!

Mr. Bavota created a great seafood cookbook for novice and expert cooks. It starts at the basic elements of storing, cleaning, and preparing seafood, of which, some in the west have not been privy to. It is a wonderful book with tasteful recipes. My children learned to enjoy lobster and my 12 year old daughter prepared it herself due to the elemetary steps he took in writing this book. Thank you Mr. Bavota

I've been looking for this type of book for a while now. Michael Bavota works with training and marketing for seafood retailers, and he gives us plenty of useful information here about seafood, how it should be handled, how it is harvested, and most importantly, how to cook it! There are dozens of recipes here from very simple to more elegant. I found the menu suggestions at the end of each recipe to be very helpful as well. It is written in a very down to earth style that I always find refreshing, as well. I love books like this, which combine great information with practical, non-daunting recipes that anyone can follow. Kudos to Mr. Bavota!
