I have an older Dell PowerEdge 2850 server with a Perc 4Di SCSI RAID. It has three 250GB drives in a RAID-5 configuration along with a fourth drive to act as a hot spare. After three years of running like a champ, my stomach started aching when I saw the dreaded yellow LEDs on two of the drives in the bay. I tried everything to repair them, but it was clear that they would need to be replaced - and soon!

Having recently moved to a new place and starting a family, my computer geek budget was pretty much non-existent. I feared that finding these older drives would mean that ramen would be my dinner for many a night. To my surprise, I found these for an amazing price. They shipped promptly and were brand new.

I replaced the two faulty drives with new ones, but I unfortunately did not get to do this before the RAID container had broken. With everything backed up to USB on a nightly basis, I first rebuilt the RAID container at system boot. Afterward, I restored my backup, and Dell OpenManage reports smooth sailing.

Both the product and seller were fantastic. Thanks for letting me keep Patty PowerEdge going a little longer.

They were as advertized. New, in the factory sealed anti-static bag. Great buy, I paid $500 each for these in 07

To replace degraded raid array on one of our older servers. We replaced the entire RAID array with these drives and we are back to optimal now

It's fast, and hot as expected. Take care to keep cool. That warning label is not a joke. Works in old and new H/W.

We have an old server that was running out of storage space. These drives used to cost a fortune so space was at a premium. Once I started looking at an updated server, I thought I might try to find a solution such as a NAS or something else to save on the money. I did a quick search and ran across these. With the price, it was worth a try to at least buy us some time before we need to look at a new machine.

They installed great and the server found them and allowed me to configure them in Raid without any hiccups. I moved all our data over to them and have been running of off them ever since. I think as long as the server itself is running, I'll continue to add space with these. For the money, you can't go wrong.

Great hard drive for a super price.

These drives normally cost 10x what I paid. They are used in servers and enterprise level NAS equipment. I now have several replacements available should one of my other drives fail.

These are 80 Pin Ultra320 SCSI drives, with 10K RPM spindles. Intended for servers, most often in hot-swap RAID situations. These are NOT intended for your standard desktop system.

I bought a couple of these to replace drives in the SCSI Raid array on my IBM eServer. I have 6 drives in the RAID, 5 for the RAID itself and 1 hot-spare in case one or more of the drives in the RAID fails. Well, one of my drives had failed and I let it go a while when another one failed as well. I put these in and they worked perfectly. I had made backups, just in case, but it was nice to put them in and have everything sort itself out automatically.

The speed of these drives is great, and I got these for under 25 dollars each. Incredible!

We have 4 Dell PowerEdge 2600s with 3-4 hard drives each. We bought 4 hard drives and needed them fast because our server's 2 hard drives failed. Shipping was extremely fast and was able to get it back up online with 2 days! Sadly, there isn't anymore of these being sold by the seller. I would definitely be buying more if they got more in stock. Thanks!
