I bought this to replace the hard drive that decided to die in my Alienware. I've had this for nearly a year and so far, so good. I don't want to jinx anything with my luck, so knock on wood. I went with Seagate because my sister's boyfriend, who is a lot more computer literate than I am, told me it was a reliable brand. I'm not disappointed. Just wish it was a bit cheaper.

This is the third of these drives that I have installed in a Mac. The two others are installed in Mac Mini's. One being a 2.0GHz Early-2009 Mac Mini and the other being a 2.53GHz Late-2009 Mac Mini. These are great little drives but if you want something bigger search Amazon for the Seagate Constellation 500 GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s 32 MB Cache 2.5 Inch Internal Hard Drive - Bare Drive ST9500530NS. If you have the money this is an even better drive.
