Super fast and quiet

I had a Hitachi 80GB notebook hard disk on my MAC that developed bad sector and thus I had to look for a replacement. When asked my friends and some experts on what brnad would be best buy, they were 60-40 divided between Seagate and Hitachi. So, I decided to go with the brand with more votes. And I am glad that I purchased this one.

After putting it on my MAC, I booted with the install hard disk and tried partitioning. Whala..the partitioning was done in a flash and I was ready to do the install. Also, it is dead quiet during operation. I found the install was also way faster than my previous experiences.

After the install is over, my MAC now boots and responds faster than before and the only thing changed is the hard disk. So it is definitely this tine little notebook hard disk that did the trick. I would definitely recommed others to buy Seagate.

Segate Momentus 120GB ATA-100 Drive

I replaced a 40GB disk in my IBM laptop. I was down to just 5GB of capacity left and I hate trying to figure out what to delete and what to save so I just wanted to move everything to a larger disk. I picked the Momentus primarily for the larger size and since this laptop wasn't my main one I didn't want to go wild with capacity so the 120 GB size was just right. It uses less power (lower current demands)then the original drive and therefore the laptop is now running cooler and quiter. The install was quick and clean using a Acronis an attached USB drive for disk copy from the old disk to the new one. The new disk is working great!

Finally

I intially order the wrong hard drive so this part is my fault. But for him to get me the correct HD, it took about 6 weeks. He was very very slow in getting back to me via of the email. I wouldn't do business with him again .
