This is my second Seagull guitar, I also have a Seagull S6 Original. I bought the Entourage because I wanted an acoustic-electric, and I also wanted a guitar with a nut width that was closer to most other guitars (the S6 Original is 1.80", the Entourage is 1.72").

As with all new guitars regardless of brand you should have it setup by a qualified Luthier (i.e. not a Guitar Center tech). I have a buddy who builds custom guitars so that is who does my setups. Seagull guitars also come stock with light strings so for a brighter sound you will want to replace those with mediums. Mediums are harder to play but the sound difference is huge.

This is a quality instrument, like all Seagulls it is well built and sounds great. There is no other brand of guitar out there that provides anywhere near the same quality at the Seagull price points. I've had the S6 for a little over a year and the sound just continues to get better, and it was very good to start.

A previous reviewer complained that his Entourage only came with a single strap button (on the base). Mine came with two, one on the base and one near the base of the neck.

This guitar is freaking awesome. I was at the NAMM show in Anaheim, and I was exploring other guitars in this price range (from $400-1,000), and this one simply was the best. Fun to play (good action), and the tone is great. If you're looking for a good all around guitar, get this.

The only downside is there's no strap bolt on the headstock, so you've got to tie the strap around the neck, which is fine, but obviously not as easy as latching it onto a pin.

The guitar is beautiful I must say and the neck is nice and small to fit my hand. But it did need quite a few adjustments when I first got it. The neck had a bow in the wrong direction and caused the strings to buzz terribly. A few of the frets needed to be tapped in and the bridge nut was not level and didn't sit correctly on the pickup (located underneath the bridge). Now with that all done and a lower gauge string and lower action, I think I am good to go. Being an electric player so it isn't easy going to acoustic but with these modifications it is nice.......the sound is very nice......and she is a beautiful burgundy color....

The Entourage combines ease of playing with great sound. I especially enjoy the good looks and craftsmanship of this quality acoustic guitar. The cedar also has a very particular fragrance to it. The built-in tuner makes it possible to hold and change tunings in no time. For me the cutaway for easy access to the upper frets is an enjoyable feature. The burgundy color is now my very favorite.

When i opened the box,I could see right away this guitar was a real musical instrument. The difference in look and feel from my ibanez "starter" acoustic was dramatic.I've been playing for a little less than a year, and straight out of the box my seagull entourage had me sounding tight and clean.(i didn't know how "bad" my old guitar sounded till i played on a "good" one !!).the craftsmanship is top notch, A beautiful guitar to play.with no set up needed other than tuning,All electronics functioned perfectly.Onboard tuner(battery inc.) is spot on.The volume- tone controls are a little cramped but I'll get used to them.action is butter smooth and was perfectly set at the factory.one cool thing i noticed was the checklist that came with the guitar.it was hand signed by each craftsman for their part of the assembly process of my guitar.it displayed an attention to detail, and a pride in the workmanship that had me feeling very comfortable with my purchase.while not a overly expensive guitar it was a considerable amount for me and i say well worth the investment.i would highly recommend a seagull guitar for players of all skill levels.
