We have this unit on our sailboat and it does a great job. Most of the time we make our own water from sea water, so having an additional filter is not necessary. However, there are times when we take on water in remote locations.
When our water maker was broken on a recent trip in the Bahama's, we were forced to take on their water, which smelt and tasted terrible, so much so that we didn't event want to use it to rinse off. However, the Seagull filter was perfect. The water tasted great and no issues with sickness. We like the unit so much we have purchased a second one to be installed outside and will tie it into the ice maker. |
