Seal tends to have a very specific fan base, but anyone who owns even one Seal album is really going to enjoy this concert. I wasn't expecting a big production, and rightly so. Seal does little more than stand on stage grasping the mike stand as he sings. But this show is not about being a spectacle. It's the music that's on display here, and Seal and his four bandmates do such an incredible job playing these songs. Seal's voice is in top form, and the audience is 150% into the show. I was mesmerized during the entire show!

Most of the songs are from Seal IV and Seal II (1994 album), with a few from Seal I. Sadly, there is only one song on here from Human Being. That album definitely deserves much more exposure. The DVD quality is spectacular. The picture is crystal clear...never have I seen a concert DVD that captures the lighting effects so crisply. There is no bleeding of colors, absolutely zero pixelation! It's almost like being there. The DTS sound is amazing...this is how all concert DVD's should be mixed. I wouldn't be surprised if this DVD has better sound than that venue in Paris did!

One word of warning though. Amazon.com says this DVD package includes an audio CD of 14 tracks from the show. That is incorrect. This only has the DVD (and no special features). The only package that has a CD and DVD is the one that comes in a CD jewel case. Search "Seal Live in Paris" under Amazon's "Popular Music" category. I'd actually recommend buying the 2-disc set, as most of the songs are done with a different arrangement. I wish I'd bought that one instead of the DVD only.

Again, a fantastic concert!

My wife and I are big fans of Seal. We have not had the opportunity to see him Live, so needless to say, when we heard that he was about to drop this Live DVD, we jumped on it. Seal does not disappoint at all. The sound is absolutely outstanding. Those audiophiles that are able to listen to the DTS format will be totally pleased. The set list is incredible as he does most of his biggest hits. With this being his first ever Live DVD, not only should he be pleased, but his fans should be also. I highly recommend this to not only fans of Seal, but to people that love music...period.

The Video quality is very good, with nice close ups and nice lighting, The DTS and Dolby Digital sound is Outstanding great bass and nice dispersion of sound. I highly recommend this DVD to those who Like good music and Seal's brand of Rock mixed with R&B.

SEAL fan or NOT- sit back, turn up the volume, and be prepared to be BLOWN AWAY by this totally remarkable 2-hr. live performance!

One of my Top Ten Concert DVD's...

What more could you ask for?

Should definitely be in any music lover's collection!

Well, I've seen many concert DVD's and most of the time I was dissapointed, sometimes by a picture quality but mostly by sound. But this one! This is just the best DVD you can ever buy! Until recently, I adored these two - The Cure - Trilogy and David Gray - Live At the Point. But Seal just sets a standard for all the others. The picture is perfect and the sound, guys, this just sounds awesome! No speakers on the stage, all the musicians wear Ultimate Ears custom headphones ($900) and it obviously works great! Not a single mistake, everything is so clear and Seal is just one of the best singers. How this guy can sing, that's unbelievable!
Go ahead and buy, worth every penny! And go for the set with a CD - you'll find yourself listening to this concert CD instead of his other ones.
Absolutely LOVE IT!

This is one of the best live concerts I have on DVD by any artist. Seal has one of the best voices in the industry IMO. He actually sounds better live than he does on cd. My favorite part of the show is his acoustic set. Buy this DVD..you will not be disappointed.

Years ago after Seal released his second album, a friend of mine and his wife went and saw him live. He told me that it was a horrible concert. There was no bass or bottom. I couldn't believe that particular criticism. They type of music that is Seal, it is very important to have a solid and full bottom.

Well I just received this dvd today and just finished watching it.
There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this live performance.
Everything is there and on point. Seal's voice is perfect and the musicians are tight and really know how to lay it down.

If you are more familiar with Seal's older songs, well that may cause you to hesistate to purchase this. The concert consists of songs from his latest cd. Don't let that stop you. You will find to like them all and even have a new appreciation for his newer stuff

Seal has not yet to dissappoint with anything he has put out thus far.

Get this dvd! It's a gem

This DVD is without a doubt one of the very best in our collection. Seal's performance is stupendous, the sound quality by far superior to many of the DVD's out there. Should one not be a Seal fan, watch and listen to this DVD and you'll only want more !!
