Give it a try and keep things dry,

This past summer, I took a trip in a canoe down 400 miles of the Mississippi. I talked with a lot of people and salespeople about the BEST bag I could buy to keep my stuff dry for the adventure. Everybody who had ever heard of the SEALINE Dry Bags recommended them. These things are tough. They are thick and do not rip easily. My favorite part of this bag is that it is clear.
I was able to keep all of my clothes for the trip in this bag (I do pack light though). Being that it is a clear bag, it was easy to see what I was grabbing to wear. At night, temperatures got below 30 degrees and all I had was a tent to sleep in. Wet clothes would have been my death and so, this bag saved my life in a round-a-bout kind of way. Even when it rained... even when waves crashed over the canoe's sides... even when I threw this bag on the ground and in the morning and thick dew saturated everything else- the contents I kept in this bag were dry as a bone. Often, this sat in the bottom of the canoe sloshing around in water! Just to clarify, our bones are not really dry. They are actually living tissue. The contents in the bag were as dry as a bone is a figure of speech which, I believe, refers to the bones of a dead mouse but that's just an assumption... and you know what happens when we make assumptions... oh, wait- I assumed you knew. Happy shopping and thanks for reading this review. I hope it helped!

Great product,

I bought this product mostly because the place where I rented a kayak used them. The bag is basic, simple, easy to use and very effective (I dropped it in the water accidentally and all my goods -cell phone and ipod and lunch) were fine. This was a gift for my husband and when he opened it he recognized the name right away - turns out his friends use their products as well and like them.

These are great bags for the boat. We use them on the laser to go sailing. I tie the painter around the mast and the bag - it just lies on the bow. The 20L bag is the right size for two beach towels and few other small things. The bottom is reinforced. It is more or less a cylinder. There is a light plastic D loop to run a line through. If you just want something for your camera and cell phone - I would go with the 5 or 10L. The 20L is really quite large.

Water Protection,

This is definitely a must have for backpacking trips. Keeps the contents nice and dry while helping compress them to fit in the pack better. I am thinking about getting another "See 10" so all my bag's content will be safe from water. My only issue is it does add a bit of weight (10 oz) for you true light-weight backpackers.
Whether you are looking for backpacking gear, or for general water protection storage, this product seems very well made for it.

It sticks, but it works,

It is not huge, but perfect for a day trip. Overnight would work if someone else was carrying the gear or it was in another bag. It is as described, and its best feature is the fact that it is see through - you can locate the item(s) you are looking for without having to wade through all the bag's contents. My only gripe is that this vinyl gets sticky and static-y in the heat, making it harder to load. But I am pleased with this purchase overall.

As avid kayakers & campers needed dependable see thru' dry bag. This is just perfect BUT when I ordered it the specs for the 5L it said it was 7 x 8". When it came it was much larger. I contacted the manufacturer & it turns out this is the size ROLLED UP. So if you're looking for something smaller be advised. I kept it & of course not hard to fill it up. Quality excellent, nice soft vinyl plastic, clips heavy duty, well made, & ring for caribiner or rope.

Pricey, but well-designed,
This review is from: See Bag by SealLine (Misc.)
I bought the 5L version of this bag to hold my mid-sized digital SLR (Canon 20D) while kayaking. The 5L bag is 7 inches in diameter and about 10 inches long when sealed. It's just large enough to hold my camera with a zoom lens (55-250mm). I'm confident in this configuration it'll keep it well safe from splashes. If I was worried about it being submerged, I'd probably turn the top one more time, making it a little smaller.
The bag is easy to open and close and fairly compact. I give it 4 stars rather than 5 because the price is a bit steep.

Visit the beach and maybe get wet, this keeps the cellphone, etc dry. pretty big, but better too big than too small. not as flexible as i would have hoped, but that is what makes it very strong. it still compacts well when empty.

This dry bag is very well made. Tough and thick, yet flexible material. Nice heavy-duty strap and clip system, and I really liked the clear see-thru aspect of this bag. I recently went on a 3 day backcountry camping trip in the Okefenokee swamp and needed some dry bags because i was basically living out of my kayak for 3 days. i purchased several different brands of dry bag and all of them worked very well. I will be sure to review all of them as well. This dry bag worked very well. I wasn't worried about ripping or puncturing it jamming it in and out of my kayak and while i did not flip or fully submerge it on the trip it did get wet and all of my gear stayed dry. I did test it at my house before the trip by putting a towel in it and holding it under water in the bathtub for a little bit and no problems. I actually bought another one of these after the home field trials. Very happy with the price and the quality.
