4.0 out of 5 stars light weight + waterproof + good design
i bought this bag - small red- when it was on sale on amazon. i also compared sealine bags to the ubiquitous timbuk2 in person and the sealine won me over with its lightweight, waterproof-ness, and solid design. i love everything about it, except one - the clasps will not work if i am over-stuffing the bag with my macbook, notebook, carry-on toiletries, and a light...

i bought this bag - small red- when it was on sale on amazon. i also compared sealine bags to the ubiquitous timbuk2 in person and the sealine won me over with its lightweight, waterproof-ness, and solid design. i love everything about it, except one - the clasps will not work if i am over-stuffing the bag with my macbook, notebook, carry-on toiletries, and a light jacket. but it just mean that i take less with me which is fine. plus no more pesky velcro to snag my sweaters. the inside compartments are great. i can fit my digital camera, cell phone, extra pair of glasses w/ case, sigi bottle and have it all organized along with computer and cords. there could be a medium though i love the small since i am a small size person and dont want a huge bag on my bike/train commute.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great every day bag, October 25, 2010

I got this bag to replace an old canvas messenger bag that I have carried with me everyday for the last 6 years. It may have cost 4 times as much as the old canvas bag but it is totally worth it. I use it every time I leave the house and I can wear it with a Suit jacket or with a t-shirt and it looks good with either. It is good for riding with stable and the back breaths pretty well. The strap adjusts securely and is very comfortable to wear. I have the small which is the largest you would want for a man bag but it still doesn't hold too much. The clasp system prevents any over loading and the form of the bag prevents any change in shape. I have trouble fitting a lunch in if I have lots of Tupperware. It is seriously waterproof, I sprayed it with the hose for a bit and left it out in the rain for a test and no water entered the bag. THe organization is good. As stated it holds a waterbottle nicely. Small laptops (macbooks) fit nicely in the back sleeve but anything larger than a 13 inch will probably need a sleeve. There is some padding for a laptop but not too much that it bothers me or weighs the bag down. I am 6'3" and I think it is a good size for carrying around every day and not getting in your way.
So in short
Pros - Light, waterproof, good organization, comfortable, good price, made in USA, no velcro, fairly professional looking
Cons - Limited room, can't close if tightly packed, no navy blue

i bought this bag (large blue) a few months ago and have used it to carry my stuff a few times, here are my thought

pros- reasonably water proof it will keep your stuff dry in the rain as its waterproof/resistant material

-pretty comfortable to where, the strap is pretty good as far as comfort and doesnt dig in to your shoulder like other cheap bags

- seems pretty durable and i think it will last lots of use

cons- i really dont like the way you have to open and close the bag its iratating and slow

-its pretty pricy for what you get in my opinion

-it doesnt fit many items in it well, if your planning on keeping lots of stuff in this bag dont buy it (its a big bag but its so slim that i find i cant fit much in the bag especially clothing)

- if it gets dirty its really hard to clean the dirt or mess of the bag, the material on the bag keeps the dirt or junk on the surface very well

overall i dont recomend this bag for most people because it to not fit much in the bag because its so thin as comaring to most other bags, but if your looking for a water resistant bag to keep things like laptops or books or thin items i think you will be satisfied but for other things like keeping clothes or a sleeping bag you will be very disapointed as it will not even close
