I am 15.5 wks pregnant at the time of this review. Prior to getting this pillow I was struggling to sleep on my side. I kept waking up throughout the night to find myself sleeping on my back which made me anxious after reading all of these books that kept telling me to sleep on my sides. I was so excited to get this pillow in the mail. It it super comfy to sleep with. I feel like I should give the pillow a name as it is like hugging another little person all night. Since the tail end goes between your knees, it keeps you on your side as it turns out to be a big deal to roll over with it b/c it isn't small. I sleep very soundly with the pillow - not even waking up when my husband gets up to take the dog out. I also like that the pillow cocoons the tummy. Bottom line - helps me to sleep on my side, with the pillow between my knees it helps with hip and back pain, super comfy, and has me sleeping much more soundly. The fact that it will double as a nursing support pillow once baby is here is a great bonus.

I purchased this pillow when I was having trouble sleeping in my first trimester. It didn't help. Most mornings I would wake up and the pillow would be on the floor. I'm very close to being in my third trimester now and I sleep so well with the pillow wrapped in my legs. I would highly recommend this pillow into the second and third trimester of pregnancies.

My husband bought this pillow for me a little while back (about 2.5 months ago) when I was 5 months along and started having difficulty sleeping. While I don't need it every day, I use it frequently at night. It isn't as large as the picture would indicate, but it works well for me. I position it between my mid-upper thighs (rather than the knees as shown in the picture) and it come up just under my lower to mid abdomen. This works fine for me, since I am carrying quite low. If you are a shorter woman (I'm 5'6") it may come up higher for you. I am also plus-sized, so that may be a factor as well. I like a lot of things about this pillow. It's very versatile for me. In addition to using it for sleeping, I also use it behind my head to prop up and read, and I can see it will be useful for breastfeeding later.

Pros:
Doesn't flatten out easily/maintains its shape and "puffiness"
Has a natural curve that fits my shape well
Is thinner on one end, for placement under abdomen, which is very nice.
Is not as expensive as other pregnancy pillows

Cons:
Is not as large as shown in the picture, may not work as well for women carrying high or who are tall.
Only comes in beige.
Is one-sided (e.g. if you turn over, moving the pillow with you can be quite cumbersome)

I wish the pillow had slipcovers or such because beige is very boring, in my opinion, and more prone to stains because of the light color. I think it would also be great if Sealy would make this in other sizes for taller (and shorter) women, since the size will not work for everyone. Overall, I'd give 4.5 stars, losing 1/2 star for the boring color & lack of sizes. I am very happy with this pillow and glad we purchased it.

My pregnant daughter and her husband were having major problems in the bedroom, sleeping. She could not get comfortable without laying on him and he couldn't handle the heat. This pillow saved the day. She loves it and he says he's going to take it for himself when the pregnancy is over!

Loving my maternity pillow. I purchased it when I was about 3-4 months pregnant and now I am almost at 32 weeks and I still use it every night. I use it behind my back when I sit up in bed to watch TV and then use it as pictured when I sleep. This shape works great for me, because I still want to have my husband have the ability to hug me when we sleep and this pillow makes it possible. If I had purchased a full U shaped pillow, I am not even sure if my husband would have room to sleep on our queen bed.

This is a good pillow that doesn't take up too much space. It is as described. Not sure why people are complaining it is too short. It was clear in the description this is not a full body pillow. It is good for providing support to belly and legs. I use a small pillow in my arms to keep my shoulers apart. This set up allows room for my husband in the bed and more flexibility to move around at night.

I'm 17 weeks pregnant with twins and this is my first pregnancy, so I can't compare this to much else. I started using this pillow around 16 weeks, at first it was big and bulky, but within a week I feel like I've already grown into it and am used to it. I'm 5'7 and 140 pre-pregnancy with a medium twin-sized bump for their gestational age. My bump is pretty low still. This fits great between my legs and curves comfortably against my growing belly. I use this on the couch, sitting in a chair (behind my back) and all over the house, and find it very comfortable and supportive. It keeps me on my side, which is terrific since I kept waking up on my back before using this. I sleep like a log with this pillow - which is fantastic since I am starting to feel so uncomfortable all the time. The only con in my book is that it does take up a lot of space in the bed (my husband feels pushed out of bed some nights), although like I said I can't compare it to the boppy or anything like that. It's a small obstacle for those 1am, 3am and 5am bathroom trips, but I suspect anything like this would be!
