***UPDATE*** Baby has been sleeping on his mattress for over a month now and he is super cozy and always sleeps through the night (knock on wood). It's soft without being too soft, and I can rest easy knowing he isn't breathing in nasty chemicals. Still highly recommended!

I ordered this mattress after ordering another one that I felt had too many chemicals in it. So far this mattress seems great! My baby appears to be pretty cozy on it and I like that it's made with natural materials and not loaded with chemicals. It's also great that I can flip it over to the toddler side when he gets older. Fits perfectly in our Graco Lauren crib and all standard mattress pads and sheets fit on it. Highly recommended!

Also it didn't smell at all directly out of the box which was nice. Many mattresses smell like chemicals and need to be aired out before using.

Well, I spent many hours researching to find a safe mattress for my little guy (on a budget) and was pleased that this foam mattress was soybean and latex instead of the usual petroleum based foam. But when it arrived the tag clearly states that it is polyurethane foam and after calling the company (Kolcraft) I discovered that only a very small percentage of the mattress is made with soybean instead of petroleum. I also learned that the company that certified this mattress as safe for babies (called Certipur-us) was created by polyurethane manufacturers. Polyurethane is known to release toxic emissions. I am so frustrated by all of the companies that try to sell themselves as being eco-friendly, non-toxic, safe, etc, why not just actually manufacture safe products!!!! I hate that consumers can not trust companies and have to work so hard to uncover the truth about their products. I returned this mattress and finally settled on the naturepedic foam mattress which is made with food grade polyethylene foam instead of petroleum based foam.

We bought this mattress to fit in the Graco Lauren crib and it fits PERFECTLY! The mattress had no smell and is labeled as to which side is the latex (for toddlers) vs. soy foam (for infants). Since we got this mattress, our baby has been sleeping MUCH more soundly, and even through the night on a much more consistent basis! (Her old mattress was a hand-me-down Sealy with springs.) The mattress was delivered in a nice box that fit it just right. She does not get sweaty or hot from the foam, which was a minor concern of mine. I am VERY pleased with this mattress, which is made in the USA, and would DEFINITELY recommend it!

I was a little nervous because it said that I would be emailed when they would become available to ship, but I got the mattress within 5 days of ordering.

As a side note, I was also looking into the Sealy Soy-foam core, which is cheaper, but am glad I bought this one...the latex side is softer and meant for toddlers, so hopefully we won't be buying a new mattress until she needs a twin-sized bed or bigger.

I ordered this mattress for my 24 month old because it was not covered in vinyl or plastic. Of course, that means you need to have a mattress cover in case there are any accidents but it was worth it to me. I had a vinyl coated very firm spring organic mattress for his crib which I will use for the next baby, since newborns need a firm mattress. That mattress was ok but not very comfortable. I put them both on the floor side-by-side with the toddler side up on this one and this mattress is much more comfortable! I'm hoping that a more comfortable mattress means he will stay in his bed instead of trying to come in my bed all the time!

There is a label on one side that indicates which side is the softer toddler side in case anyone is wondering.

I purchased this mattress for my son's crib a year and a half ago and have nothing but great things to say about it. It fits our Americana crib perfectly. It seems very cozy without being too soft. My son loves sleeping in his crib and I attribute it to this comfy mattress!!

I did loads of research on mattresses when I was pregnant and finally decided on this one, the Sealy Posturepedic Springfree Soybean & Latex Foam-Core Crib mattress. My daughter started sleeping on this mattress when she was 8 weeks old and LOVED it. She sleeps so soundly on it and it really seems to give her the support she needs. My daughter is 9 months old now and really loves her naps and night time on this mattress. Loved that it isn't very happy, zero smell to the mattress, water resistant and fits in her crib perfectly. Very happy with my purchase and look forward to flipping it to the toddler side when she is a little older!

Good quality mattress!!! Our son loves it!! Seems really comfortable! He has been sleeping on it for over 2 months and has been sleeping through the night since less than a week old. Don't know if it's the mattress or not but I'm loving it!! =

The mattress is just as great as everybody here already reviewed. I'm 5'0" and 105lbs and it takes me all but 2 minutes to change the sheets. I won't go into how wonderful this mattress is since everyone already did that but I just wanted to warn those that have an angel monitor. The Angel monitor WON'T work with this mattress!! Luckily we switched the mattress when my son was passed the SID stage so we didn't HAVE to use the monitor anymore but I would have liked to use it a little longer. Since the mattress has no springs and literally absorbs all the movement, the sensor even at the highest sensitivity level didn't work. We had the alarm going off once some nights and 2-3 times other nights. Usually the only time it ever went off on the other mattress with my older child was when she was rammed up in the corner and was WAY off the sensor but not this time. Like I said, the mattress itself is GREAT but it's not a good choice if you are going to use the Angel monitor with it. I personally would have returned it immediately if my son were younger and I couldn't use the monitor with it. The Angel monitor was my only piece of mind when he was under 6 months old and sleeping many hours though the night. Hope this helps!

I have a 2.5 month old and I had been using a bassinet near the bed. However he wouldn't sleep long. Since setting up the crib with this mattress he sleeps wonderful. Hes almost 3 months and enjoying this mattress a lot! You can definitely feel the difference in firmness between the sides and if I could fit in the crib I would enjoy sleeping on it :)
