Judge Laurel Patrick blamed it on the lush island paradise of St. Thomas. Why else would she make love to a virtual stranger? Laurel wanted Sean Gannon as much as he wanted her. This review is from: Sean (American Heros) (Mass Market Paperback)
Sean Gannon has decided to take the promtion which will transfer him back to his hometown of Alexandria, LA. With one last trip to St. Thomas, Sean is ready to finally settle down close to his family. One last fling can't hurt, and he finds his prey pushing her scooter down the streets of St. Thomas. Soon he realizes that he has no desire to let Laurel go, but he learns that he doesn't have a choice.

As a judge, Laurel doesn't have time for vacation. Following in the footsteps of her father, Laurel is fast coming up in the world of law in Alexandria. It doesn't matter that she would have rather followed in her mothers footsteps of being a wife and mother, Laurel knows that she would never do anything to dissapoint her father. When she meets Sean Gannon, she is poleaxed, but soon has to flee home and try to save her father's career.

This is a much better story than it's proceeding book about Sean's brother. A lot more emotion and romance is involved and it of course leaves you wondering about the other Gannon siblings.

The chemistry was irresistably powerful, their passion intense. Then reality unexpectedly intruded in Laurel, forcing her to leave the island - without a chance to explain to Sean... or say goodbuy.

Sean's gut instinct as a U.S. marshal is telling him something isn't right. Once back in the States, he confronts Laurel - and sees the hunted look in her eyes, the fear she can't hide. Sean ignores Laurel's attemptes to protect him by pushing him away. The woman he loves is in danger, and he isn't going anywhere...

[2nd in the American Heroes series; follow-up to Men of Courage.]

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Fast for Summer, June 30, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Sean (American Heros) (Mass Market Paperback)
Sean is a spin off of the weakest (in my opinion) novella (Buried!) in the compilation, Men of Courage. I note that the original Gannon brother story was weak only to draw the comparison to this short novel. Sean is a much stronger story and worth the time and money. Sean is the oldest brother (but not the oldest sibling) of the Gannon family, married to his job as a US Marshall. He meets his match on vacation, in the form of a driven, over-achieving judge from his home town of Alexandria, LA. This is not great literature folks, but it's a fun story. And (not unintentionally, I'm guessing) it leaves you interested in finding out more about Sean's unattached siblings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sean an American Hero, July 28, 2003

This review is from: Sean (American Heros) (Mass Market Paperback)
Judge Laurel Patricks father sends her on a much-needed vacation, telling her to have fun and met a beach bum. Laurel does meet someone but he is not beach bum. Sean Gannon is a U.S. Marshall visiting St. Thomas for work related meetings. His path crosses Laurels when she is need of help. They have one incredible night together and the next day Laurel has gone home unexpectedly. Sean shows up in Laurels chambers several weeks later and realizes something has terrified her very badly. Sean pushes his way back into her life to help her with this pressing danger. The passion between these two leaps off the page and will make you rout for them to succeed in the mystery and in love. Looking forward to more of the Gannon siblings.
