I wrote my first book when I was ten years old, a Jules Verne rip-off that was completed in a single week and extended to 100 excruciating pages. It took me several decades more to finish the next one.
As an Englishman living and working in New Jersey, I have become an incorrigible Anglophile. I am interested in the landscape and languages of the British Isles, the origins of our various cultures and national traditions. I am a student of the sciences and the humanities and the places where they meet: in history and archaeology, geography and linguistics.
In my day job, I am a publisher of academic books and journals at John Wiley & Sons. I am married to Sharon; we live in South Orange with our sons Aidan (13) and Ethan (11).
