Excellent Review for Obtaining a Seaplane License,
By
This review is from: Seaplane Operations: Basic and Advanced Techniques for Floatplanes, Amphibians, and Flying Boats from Around the World (ASA Training Manuals) (Paperback)
I purchased this book in 2004 from ASA in order to prepare for a seaplane (ASES) certificate. The material is organized and written in an expert manner that presents the theory and fundamentals of seaplane operations in a way that allows the student to quickly assimilate a large amount of information. I believe that preparing for seaplane training by reading this book prior to actual instruction allowed me to complete an ASES certificate in 4.0 hours with a Piper PA-18-180 on Edo 2250 floats. I would strongly recommend this text to the pilot wishing to upgrade his/her skills by obtaining a seaplane certificate.

A reprint of a comprehensive seaplane manual that has been updated. Good for todays operations and a glimpse of history.
