Typical 80s straight edge.,

Remeber Youth of Today, Judge, Chain of Strength etc etc? This band were up there with them. Pity about what they turned into, kind of sick reading one of them saying his motivation for his new band is to 'make as much money as possible' (made a point of not buying anything from Into Another) or his equally stupid remark about not wanting to be "A sraight edge icon" (delusions of grandeur) Even more sick that after that we hear the band plan a 'reunion' as a 'positive band'
Still, for nostalgia sake only, give it a listen. (or maybe just borrow from someone)

Time to "wise up",

Before the internet, CD's, MTV2, YouTube, Napster, LimeWire, Warped Tour, Lollapalooza, before tattoos were mainstream-cool and sXe hoodies were a mouse click a way....Bold managed to sell thousands of records, print their own t-shirts, tour the country and help spread what was to become a global phenomena. This was a band (and a subculture) that was truly underground, shunned by the mainstream, and on its own in a musical world completely, utterly dominated by corporate entities. Bold's music, like the scene, was raw, powerful, often violent, but always inspired and in your face. You couldn't even begin to list the bands that Bold directly and indirectly influenced. If you're looking for a snapshot of what mid 80's hardcore sounded like, this IS the definitive act. Know your history.

BOLD were in the thick of things, back there in the 80`s.the early stuff by these guys was solid, true hardcore (though never a real favourite of mine)...but they soon hit the slippery slope of selling out
