This review is from: In Search of China's Boxer Rebellion [VHS] (VHS Tape)
In priciple this documentary is quite well done, as it tells the previous history, going back to the Opium Wars in 1838-42, which ended with the take-over of Hongkong and other more or less blackmailed privileges, including the right to furhther on sell Opium and practically destroying contry and culture. But the documentary is lying in so far, as it does not mention with one word, that at the Boxer Rebellion in 1900 the payments pressed out of China for the Britisch was for the burned down storage buildings with millions of Pounds worth of Opium! In so far, this is falsified propaganda, to insinuate, in the 20th Century the world did not help to regain the Britisch Drug money!! Therefore actually the film is without real value!
