This review is from: A Search for Collection: Science and Art in Riding (Hardcover)
I have read everything I can by this author. He is at once philosophical and instructional sharing his experience and that of others masters. Through his vision, I have come to experience the horse not only as a recreational outlet but as a paradoxical companion. Our training of the horse often has the added advantage of of providing us with some new speck of inner awareness.

Collection in the horse will not be seen until the rider is collected both mentally and physically. This demands a high level of honesty and self awareness. The path to collection is long and revealing. It can never be cruel or forced but is a series of incremental adjustments between the rider and their horse.

This lesson, when learned and practiced wil benefit the rider in any approach in life.

A balanced rider is a balanced human. A balanced human leads forth a balanced horse.

Thank you Paul Belasik for this message.!
