Another good book for the serious student of homeopathy, June 14, 2008
This review is from: In Search of the Later Hahnemann (Beaconsfield Homoeopathic) (Paperback)
If you're serious about homeopathy and want to know more about how Hahnemann actually practiced, you should read this book. It is based on the work he did in the last years of his life while in Paris. The author has used his actual casebook, and gives us an amazing look into what he actually did. He continued to be the great experimenter. This was the point where he developed the LM potency, he also used olfaction or smelling a substance quite a bit. It was interesting to see how often he used sulphur, often starting and ending a case with it. I was also amazed at how many different remedies he would go through during the course of treating a patient, sometimes as many as 12 over the course of the case.
It was fun to see that he was human just like the rest of us. While his books seemed awfully black and white, in real life, he bent the rules, including giving more than one remedy.
She includes copies of pages from his actual case books, which was just fun to see. I can't read them, but it was still cool to see them.
