Nine-year-old Tarc has found himself thrown into a very confusing world of magic, mystery, and mayhem. First he receives the gift of a dragon’s egg—the last egg of the once powerful dragon leader, Corrina. The egg has remained unhatched for many centuries, awaiting the arrival of its chosen one. Tarc’s adventures carry him deep into the magical world where he must find all of the magical families, and united under one banner they must take a stand against the wizard, defeating him once and for all in the battle to save magic. Along the way, Tarc meets Lily, who has some secrets of her own to share, and they soon discover that their futures are intertwined in more ways than one. Will there ever be an end to the darkness? Has Tarc come all this way and overcome so many obstacles only to fail in the very end?
