About the Author

David Pearson is a London-based architect who has been actively involved in inner city and community housing for many years. With degrees from the University of London and the University of California, Berkeley, he is the founder of the Ecological Design Associates and a founder of Gaia International, an innovative group of eco-architects from twelve countries. Victor Papanek, who worked with Frank Lloyd Wright, has written several books including Design for the Real World: Human Ecology and Social Change, which was published in some twenty languages.
