Different...but fun., May 3, 2004

I have to say I had my doubts about this PC game but I bought it because I had an itch to take on the role of a rescue P.J. or Coast Guard medic. It's actually pretty fun and I'm not a serious flight-sim fan. It took me only a couple of hours to get the hang of flying a rescue helicopter and controlling the rescue crew (rescue diver, medic, etc.) You don't need a joystick but it helps. The graphics and sound are good, the controls and difficulty level can always be adjusted and any of the missions can be played without completing the campaign. However, I did have some crash problems with my GeForce 3 card but all in all definitely worth the money.

Search and Rescue 4 - Coastal Heros, April 21, 2009

Excellent game with simple controls. Globalstar first had the game, now Selectsoft sells it under a different jewel case cover.
Compared to most game themes and the way they play, this is what you want for your kids, teens and adults, a flight sim, not a kill sim.
I play for hours and evey same mission is actually different every time as well.
Don't expect the cool Globalstar jewel cover case, Hoot's Loot substitutes the Selectsoft version for the Globarstar version quickly w/o any conscience.
The game stands on it's own, even if deceptive point of sale advertising and substitute delivery occurs.
There are free demo's for this game and do not forget the game patch.
Get a copy for everyone, it is good stuff.
