I followed the steps in this book and had more interviews than I could keep up with. I accepted a job offer 3 weeks after I read this book.

It's a pretty good book. It depends mostly on your level of experience as a job searcher. Consultants who job search more routinely than someone who has had a permanent job for many years will find that the book states the obvious in many sections. People who are new to the job market (especially if it's been some years) will find the book invaluable, and a great resource. A good companion to this book would be one of the many out there on what questions to ask at an interview.

Valuable Internet-Era Recruiter Laden Job Search Tool,

This review is from: Job Search Secrets Unlocked! (Paperback)
I give this book 3 stars at the moment simply because I haven't finished reading this book and/or implementing all of its recommendations so as to be able to personally attest to its effectiveness. However, I have to say that Turner concurs with a-lot of the conclusions that I have reached in this internet-era, recruiter laden job search atmosphere which is further frustrated by the fragile economic climate. As such, it is comforting to obtain advice from someone who is on the same page and is also an insider since Turner himself was formerly a recruiter. I can attest to the fact that Turner's free resume advice has already proven useful and motivated me to purchase "Job Search Secrets Unlocked" which I view as a very useful guide to help me navigate my job search efforts in the internet-era; i.e., he provides a-lot of strategies on how to effectively implement your job search on the internet. I suspect, however, that I will increase the stars I give to Turner's book once I finish reading and implementing.

Includes good links and organization tips. Many suggestions are geared toward positions that have a monetary effect on a company. There isn't a lot of monetary control for a scientific or laboratory position but the information is useful and can be modified for your own job search as applicable. Teaches you how to market yourself in today's internet based soceity.
